Can't find Vivaldi shortcut after installation
-
Hello, I just installed Vivaldi browser on my fresh Windows 10, can't find shortcut, only the way to run Vivaldi is to go to search bar and type Vivaldi and it says: Run Command and I do and only after that I can see Vivaldi, where is installation folder and why it did not create any shortcuts?

Can't you add to start via right click? It should pin there.
Always with right click, you should be able to see where the file is located: well, it'll open the shortcut location, and right-clicking again on it, you should find where the vivaldi.exe is located. However, profile should be here (if you didn't standalone install):
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Vivaldi\Application\ -
Ok I see, thank you, why Vivaldi is only one appication which installs not to ProgramFiles? Why? Look like it's getting mess in my system, probably making so much garbage files somewhere deep in folders. Feel so bad it was installed somewhere wihtout even asking to create Shortcuts and not even in right folder...
how to properly uninstall it including all register components? -
@smbv: All Chromium-based browsers install in the user profile folder under appdata by default. It's a security measure to ensure that no one but the user who installed it has any access to any of its files. If you were to uninstall Vivaldi, everything necessary would be uninstalled by default, though you might have to delete the folder yourself. No registry entries are left.
Using the Advanced setting in the installer, you can install it somewhere else if you like, and even install it standalone so that no matter where you install it the profile folder is in the same folder as the application.

Okay it's great, how can I get shortcut from Vivaldi? If I would make an installed, I would do shortcut option by default, I need to locate Vivaldi.exe somewhere in the system and create shortcut link by myself to my desktop. Maybe there is easier way to do it?

You can find it.

Run Vivaldi and open Help/About
This shows both: Executable Path and Profile Path -
I really really recommend you to make shortcut for Vivaldi!

@smbv: Vivaldi automatically installs a shortcut on every system I install it on. If it didn't install one for you, then something blocked it.

@Ayespy something definitely broke it, but for 6 month of using my Windows10 I see such as strange behaviour only from Vivaldi, I'm very surprised you still saying it's okay not to be installed in ProgramFiles and not create shortcuts, maybe you're using very specific way to install shortcuts, I did two installations and both of them failed with shortcuts. Other 100 programs on my machine never had any problem with creating shortcuts. Please have a look whats going on with it.

@smbv- I can't speak your your machine(s). I only know that a) Vivaldi is written to install a shortcut and b) I have installed it on eight Windows10 systems, one Windows7 system and 2 Linux Mint systems, and every time it installed a shortcut with no intervention from me. This includes times I have installed it standardly, times I have installed it standalone, and times I have installed it "for all users." I have, counting all versions I have installed (Stable, Snapshot, Internal Testing version) 19 instances of Vivaldi installed on nine machines. All installed as I described.
That's why I say if it didn't install a shortcut for you, something on your machine did that.
(And if you have a quarrel with the install location, you should speak with the Chromium people. They chose the User/appdata folder.)

Ok I see, you probably right, sorry if I was wrong about shortcuts. If Vivaldi installs shortcut by default, it's good! Now I see your confirmation about it! It's good!
