Try a fresh profile in terminal.
This will start Vivaldi using a "vivaldi-test-profile" folder in your home directory which can be deleted when finished testing.
@pleabargain Cant reproduce your problem with 1.7 Stable on Debian 8x64.
Please tell us more:
About your OS, Window manager and GPU driver.
Do you run Extensions?
Do you have Modifications/Hacks to Vivaldi program's CSS or JS?
@CantankRus Ok, thanks.
The disappearing seems to happen when I zoom in the page to 110%. I started to investigate this because I noticed in @CantankRus's image that the bottom edge of the search box disappears, and that seemed like a candidate for a zoom-related issue.
@kumiponi I cant reproduce this with 110% zoom on Vivaldi 1.7 Stable.
I cant reproduce this with 110% zoom on Vivaldi 1.7 Stable.
It seems to depend on the screen resolution. On bigger screens you need to zoom more. Basically, zoom until the page turns into the alternate layout for smaller screens.
Hi kumiponi. That pic was taken at 110% zoom.
Didn't notice the bottom edge disappearing but looking at it now only happens at 110% zoom.
pleabargain said in his video he was on a 10 year old laptop and it looks like a low netbook resolution.
I could reproduce it with my 1440x900 monitor.
Starting from zoom 150% & up.
The search box will dissapear.
For me, this a start of mobile view. I just realize this forum detect screen size.
I will ping a Vivaldi webdev for this bug.
