Elements in Web Panel (Gmail) not Clickable

  • Hi-

When I bring up Gmail in a web panel (right), I can click on everything except the archive and delete icons on the top right (see screen shot). Because of the size of the panel, gmail defaults to the mobile version. Not sure if this has something to do with it or who's fault it is (Browser or Website). Any ideas? I've seen the mail panel function but I'm not sure how to set it up or it it will work with gmail so I have it in a web panel.

Thanks in advance for any help.

  • @livestpete You can right click the webpanel and click "Show Desktop Version", then the button behaviour should be normal. After use you just switch back. But that's an awkward workaround, and I wonder why the buttons in the mobile version don't function as intended 😕

  • @luetage Yeah, that's kind of a bulky workaround. But thanks for reminding me of the desktop version. It may be easier to just stack it in another tab. 😐

  • Signed up to quickly say that I have the same problem - Gmail is a major use case of the Web Panels feature for me. Is there any understanding as to why this breaks?

EDIT: quick mention of the fact that I'm having the same issue on Windows 10.

  • Here's a userscript to fix Gmail context menu in mobile view. Use Violentmonkey to install it, or simply download the raw file and drop in to Vivaldi's extension page - it will work in both ways.
