Exporting Bookmarks in Linux version
-
Forgive me if this has been asked/answered before, but can one export bookmarks in json format in Vivaldi? All I see (so far) is exporting them in HTML
What I'd really like to do is to be able to save and restore bookmarks across system re-installs. I realize I could do that using the html Vivaldi creates, but with hundreds of bookmarks, that's not terribly convenient.
Thanks in advance. -
Thanks for that tip, dLeon. I don't see a "Profile" folder (hidden or otherwise) in my $HOME directory, but I did find a Bookmark file in $HOME/.config/vivaldi/Default/. I'm a little confused because it's a plain-text file, with no extension to identify it a .json.
I looked at it in a text editor (Kate), and it seems to be a formatted version of what I see (unformatted - no line-feeds) in the .json files Firefox creates.
I'll have to examine it more closely before I experiment, but this may be the answer.
