You are using a 32-bit or 64-bit Vivaldi build? For 32-bit it should be fixed soon, for 64-bit will also be fixed, but somewhat later. Twitter is converting GIFs to videos in H.264 format which is not working currently with GPU acceleration OFF, so this is why you cannot see them. BTW, why are you switching off hardware acceleration - why is it better for you to not use it?

Win 7 64 bit, Viv 32 Bit
I can't figure out what happened alone but hard to explain…I went to a previous tab to open and when I went to it instead of the webpage URL showing this showed:
chrome-extension://epanfjkfahimkgomnigadpkobaefekcd/panel.html?abine49624772doNotRemove
I take it it is my masked Email that is the ONLY item I use.... I do know the three extensions I use have been giving me trouble when they never had before.
One is stated above 2nd is Ublock orgin, 3rd is invisible hand no others.

Ok, thanks for the information.

That package is now broken because it worked by pulling down Chrome and extracting the pepper flash lib. With Chrome 54 this is no longer possible.
If you are on Ubuntu, enable the “Canonical Partner Repositories” and then install the adobe-flashplugin package. For other distros, see the distro documentation or wiki for the name of the pepper flash package.
Alternatively, you can use this script.
P.S. We will also use Chrome's copy if you have it installed and have attempted to play flash content with it once (Chrome now downloads Flash on the fly and stores a copy in its profile)

Have you reported this request via vivaldi.com/bugreport? If not, then please report.
Thank you. Done that.

Hey. GT500, haven't seen nor been able to confirm such an issue, could you try to install a clean standalone version of Vivaldi and see if that fixes the issue for you? It might be an issue with you'r profile, and in that case there isn't much we can do on our end, but you can if it works with a clean profile. If it works, clean your main profile, https://help.vivaldi.com/article/full-reset-of-vivaldi/ shows how to do so, as well as what files to save in order not to loose bookmarks / history etc! Hope this helps

I didn't know that article existed. Thank you.

Ah, thanks for the info. I didn't realise that it was a duplicate at the time of writing, and I did ask on here about the issue before submitting. Pity that the bug reports, particularly non-security, aren't viewable to the public so that this could be avoided… unless I'm grossly mistaken.
Yeah, it's not that important to me to be a deal breaker and it's fairly trivial in nature, but it is a useful feature that I think adds to browser usage. I realise it's not likely to be fixed soon and I'm patient enough to understand that there are far more important fixes out there that need addressing before it. What I really wanted was an official confirmation that the issue was known and that it might be dealt with in the future, even if long term, which would shut me up.
Thanks.

Done, reported as VB-22910 Cancelled downloads linger in the downloads list, can't be cleared

Are the VB-XXX numbers internal bug IDs or can they be viewed publicly somewhere like Bugzilla for Firefox?
If internal:
- Why do you put them in public changelogs where they lack meaning to outsiders?
- What project/bug management system/service do you use internally?
If public:
- Where can I see them so I can "watch the kettle boil"?
I'm a coder myself so just professional curiosity.
-
@ullr: Private.
They are put in public changelogs so that the users who reported them, and anyone who may have read of such reports (some users and mods state the numbers of bug reports in the forums while describing the bugs) can see that they have been addressed.
Internally we use Jira and Slack.
You can't see them. Besides, a watched pot never boils, so if you watched them, none would ever be fixed.

@Ayespy said in Chromecast support - Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1.5.648.6:
can see that they have been addressed.
And check the release info of new Snaphot/Stable to see if they are fixed or not
