Hell yes great addition, thanks a lot!

I agree with you wholeheartedly and have also made similar suggestions. The Chrome extension model is also not perfect and I’m sure there are certain things that the Chrome folks wish that they had done differently. There’s no easy way (that I know of) to have explicit control over the extension precedence hierarchy or granular control over what can (or can’t) be overridden, but it sure would be nice. Total control is also both good and bad depending on the circumstance. You don’t want to have the security of your browser weakened, especially when you take steps to lock it down. You don’t want to break a security-focused extension in some subtle way. You also want Office-like Application helper extensions to work seamlessly while also not corrupting documents or compromising security.
This issue is (strangely) being raised because Vivaldi chose to word the WebRTC option in a rather alarming way: “Broadcast IP for Best WebRTC Performance”. Vivaldi doesn’t really “broadcast” your IP address, and changing the WebRTC IP Handling policy from the default can (and does) break some WebRTC applications. Nevertheless, WebRTC can also be (ab)used to glean details about your network connection. However, if you use WebRTC, do you really care if someone can figure out that your computer’s IP address is 192.168.1.105? Would you prefer to only reveal your public IP address when you're behind a firewall/NAT? Are you one of those people using 5 VPNs and 3 proxy servers and don’t want to leak any details about your local connection? Unchecking Vivaldi’s option is really to cover this last case, where you take security to the extreme and don’t care about WebRTC at all let alone breaking it. It kinda covers the second-last case as well but in a less-than-ideal way, which is why it would also be nice to have the ability to select one of the other less-extreme WebRTC IP Handling policy options that are available.

Thanks very much nice Delta Update, only 2,2 MB, Wow !!!
Please add the following functions:
1. View the download speed, add sound or other indication when the download is complete.
2. In Tile pages concurrently scrolling of all pages in the keeping of certain keyboards etc.
3. Make controls (mouse gestures) for folders fast access (currently for the return of the folder you need to click on <<*Name Floder).
4. The option to customize icon extension field (background color, size, order etc.)
5. Supplement icons such as cut, paste, copy, and so on.
6. Add the possibility to catch and move the icons on Webpages panels and extension icons.
7. Add Sesion manager to the panel.
8. Add History manager to the panel.
9. The possibility of placing the panels up and down, not just left and right.
10. Portable version.
11. More option for right click on Extension icons, not only Hide button.
12. Customize speed dial Thumbnails and Folders.
13. Better History manager (something like Bookmarks manager) inside Speed dial's top bar.
14. Better Download manager (something like Bookmarks manager) inside Speed dial's top bar.
15. Export complete user profile (settings, bookmarks, webpages in panels, themes, background pictures, notes, paswords etc.) It would also as a backup. (I do not think the synchronization feature, because not everyone wants to keep their data on servers, but a full backup of your profile).
16. Add controls +/- on zoom in status bar (by moving the slider to set the desired values it is not as accurate and fast).
17. Hotkey or mouse gesture to Hide or Minimize browser. -
I'm glad to see the option even though I like my tabs not loading till I need them. But that could change in the future so the choice is awesome.

The tab-bar-stretching-when-closing-a-tab appears fixed in this snapshot. Thank you!

You can get a portable mode by installing with the standalone option in the installer.
+1 for better download management, especially per filetype/domain/regex download location.
+10 for better profile export, especially proper bookmarks.html with aliases and descriptions
A notes.html import/export would also be great

This issue seems to be fixed. Images now open in a foreground tab.
(VB-20548) Open Image in New Tab opens in a Background Tab
-
The Standalone installation is not a proper portable version.
-
With me, the issue continues… When I was closing some tabs to test it again, Viv crashed again, lol...
I was reading some cases above about the memory using and I'm inclined to believe that in my case such thing might be related. Right before testing the stretching stuff, I checked Process Explorer and some sets of tabs were with almost 2 GB allocated...
Well, I'm in despair with those recent events... I'm really considering to go back to Chrome... I'm testing Maxthon too and it could be an option as well... Let's see what it comes next...
-
Hmmm? Not good. I can see how troubling that would be for you but I would hate you too have to give up on Vivaldi. I hope the issue will be resolved soon.

Can you post some screenshots?
Oh, i'm sorry, but no i can't. I haven't been by here for a little while, hence hadn't seen your question in time before the 1.5.633.16 (Developer Build) dev (64-bit) SS came to me in the Repos. Thus i'm back to black icon & no Mail. I have to say though, that even if i still had it, i still might not have shown it, out of respect to the V Devs. It was an honest error, & i'm not interested in trying to scoop or undermine them… i'm happy to keep waiting til official release.

Totally up for it, I really love portable apps. I mean 99% of the software sue is portable, including Vivaldi
Just curious though, what's missing from Vivaldi Standalone to classify as a 'proper portable'?

Win7 64 bit, Viv 32 Bit
In above Currently using 2.8 system Gig was on FF which I continue to use. I absolutely cannot get a reasonable memory use on Viv back before this SS…. I guess I will continue to use FF for now til maybe NEXT SS will correct.
It still just blows through my memory SO fast all 8 gig and I am totally at a loss to correct it. Everything was fine BEFORE this update so.... I can ONLY assume it is this updates fault. Luckily it releases all that memory when Viv is closed.PS: > Only OTHER thing it might be was MS Windows update PACKAGE!! ( KB 3185330) I did that night before MS went to full blobs of updates ( 1/4ly. 122 Meg download) no way to choose which ones you want. I am having printer problems etc. also. Changed config of output port.
:(:(

When you move it to another machine, extensions, passwords and I think notes, cannot be read because they have been encrypted with a key tied to the first machine. Also, under some scenarios, memory demands make it slow running from a USB key or whatever.
-
Hum, I see, never really tested much outside my home computer. A true portable would indeed be good
-
Cycle In Tab Order is still broken.

been using Vivaldi (aka Opera) since 1996, or so, but still not yet satisfied by Vivaldi:
wished it was faster and lighter (disk cache is terrible: FF is way much more responsive) Happy face, anyway -
"1.5.633.3/16"
does this mean "16-bit" ? -
Update uBlock origin. It is fixed in its new version.

Requests:
VB-13469 - Order bookmarks openingCannot reproduce the problem.
You probably have other sorting order set - by Title, Date created. But sorting in the panel is only on the visual side, while bookmarks are opened based on the "Manual" order in which they are stored in Bookmarks.
This is probably the explanation why you observe different order of opening. Could you check and confirm?
