Snapshot 1.2.479.8 - More keyboard shortcuts and a small update to 1.1
-
Email not available YET.
-
Relax. Don't get your shorts in a twist.
-
That's hilarious that people are actually angry that we have a little pointless fun.
-
Thank you. I love Vivaldi nevertheless.
Searching engine management could be like in Opera 12 by the way. I have to use "Searchbox Bookmarks" extension, but it is not as good as Opera one. -
Lol, I know. I don't understand the point of downvoting someone 14 times for a little fun. I think we should be a little more wild around here.
-
I have read recently how integrated email will become available with Vivaldi 2.0. Nearing Christmas, I'd guess.
-
Page load hanging is a heck of a lot better now, so that's good. There's very, very slight hanging, but that could be that I'm paranoid. Time will tell on that.
Did you try to modify your hosts file (block ad servers)? Made a big difference for me …

I'm comparing with Opera 12 right now and can't see what it does that Vivaldi doesn't. What am I missing? Add, edit, delete, default, URL, shortcut….
What neither does that I'll never understand: allow search engine reordering. Seems the most obvious thing in the world.
-
Hahahaha… Hey, lamarca, even you?
And I'd like to know why people get so infuriated with that "first" thing... Please, guys, relax...
-
Sorry about off top, but could anybody help me with autocompleting and sugestions, please? I have it marked in my settings, but it doesn't work though.
-
In Opera 12 you can mark any text, and by clicking right mouse button choose any search engine you want. Then your searching results will appear in a new tab.
It works in searching bar too. You can write text, and automaticly appears suggestions and available searching engines below.
And in Opera i can add any searching engine i want.Another thing is nearly unlimited placing or replacing buttons.
Vivaldi doesn't have it, sadly. But i have faith.
-
Thank you for the update. Sadly the page-load-pause-before-finish is back in this SS so I will only install it on my test machine.
-
Tab opening option "Next to Tab" does not work as intended: It did not open next to the active tab in all cases (Ctrl+t and clicking on the '+'). In addition it should actually be named "After" to align better with the tab close options (VB-16361)
Hey, middleclick and ctrl+t/+ should have different settings!
-
Did you try to block ad servers in your hosts file?
-
small bug: http://imgur.com/hB7cEs5
-
In Help/About, I take it that the "Variations" relate to the compiler? It it really of value to anyone to list them, let alone all 27?
-
OK, I thought your were strictly talking about management of search engines.
-
Why are you using white font on black background on changelog-page (https://update.vivaldi.com/update/1.0/relnotes/1.1.453.59.html)? It's very hard to read for my eyes…
-
Yes, i have all selected here. And still doesn't work, since i get browser installed. Sorry, i have polish version of Vivaldi, and don't know all correct words.
-
I'm glad they fixed this, since it was definitely a point of confusion (especially mine) in previous discussions, when I noticed that new tabs only sometimes opened next to the current tab. "New tab position after active tab" was just what I was looking for and is clear, and AFAIK has no exceptions.
