No time to rest. Vivaldi 1.1 is here with enhanced tab handling, better hibernation and more!
It's hard to imagine that a little less than three weeks ago we launched Vivaldi 1.0. It seemed to strike a chord. Hundreds of articles and millions of downloads followed all over the world.
It is a great feeling to see the work we have done together with you has gathered so much attention. But we are not resting. Today we're launching Vivaldi 1.1. This is a result of the feedback we've received over the last 3 weeks, to make Vivaldi even better. Read on to find out more about some of the interesting changes.
Thank you for another release. Keep up the great work.
Great job, can we have more speed dial tiles customization? many of my tiles are blank due to the nature of the site in question, and so I would need the option to manually upload an image into them to help distinguish better one from the other, but sadly I don't have this option in vivaldi yet.
Thanks for the update.
What about x64? No longer experimental. Is it stable?
YESSS !! updates going good & fast just like the browser itself does !! Congrats team on this next mile-stone
Is there a way to disable checking for update?
vivaldi (chromium) dropped support for a few older systems like vista, xp. Is this still true for ubuntu 12.04 with this release?
Very nice but there is still "drag tab to create new window" funkction missing. Will we ever get it? Please! I need it!
Vivaldi closed when I use chromeIPass addon. It looks like as the same problem with GetPocket addon. http://joxi.ru/Bv29ojKUNvYOrG
Now I can ask for new features…
1. Alt-Enter in address bar for new tab creation.
2. Close all tabs to the right (and left if you want to cover everything) option in tab context menu.
Wow, and Bother! I was just going to mutter about Bookmarks not accepting new nicknames and displaying existing ones in the wrong order - and now I've got to start all over again!
I tend to agree with you, but I strongly disagree with your font size. -1
You can no longer see TLS details in the adressbar.
Cool ! Now, extension URLs are working well ! (at least for LastPass!). Perfect update. Thanks !
Could you make a feature to show which tabs are in hibernation? a symbol or a icon on the tab will do…
The built-in auto update feature shows that I'm using the latest version 1.1.453.45, whereas the latest one is actually 1.1.453.47. I don't know if that's a bug or it is supposed to work like that.
Anyway, I'm still waiting for the fix for touch screen actions. I can't use anything past 1.0.420.4 on my tablet, where I made Vivaldi my main browser a long time ago… :!:
I want to drag my tabs out to the second monitor without right-clicking on the tab to move it to a new window.
Download speeds from your Debian/Ubuntu repo server are still nothing more but a plain joke. 80<->160KB/s (160 AT BEST - more like 85KB/s avg according to Wireshark). I just waited about 10 minutes for a friggin, what?, 35MB? 40MB? file to download.
Better get a Amazon or Azure instance - they are not connected via a ancient 300kbps accoustic coupler which someone found in the dark corners of his shed.
Alright, I just want to highlight my comment here, which I posted like 5 hours ago, because this post is more fresh.
Bug: Connected Tab opened by mouse gesture most right position
When I open a link via ctrl+left click or right click menue->Open in new tab it opens the tab right of active, as its supposed to (for a connected page)
Bug: When I open it via the mouse gesture (down or down, up) it opens it in the last position although its a connected tab..
keep up the good work, after improved bookmark handling I switch over
