Vivaldi 1.0: Not for everybody, just you
-
Thank you, Vivaldi!
I don't know when it was done but Alt key shortcuts work for the Vivaldi menu – goodbye to the mouse-keyboard-mouse-keyboard-mouse-keyboard dance!
The answer to the Ultimate Question: Vivaldi version .42
Just as good for a chortle as XP version .2600 (alt.2600)And (drumroll) only 356k memory for four open Tabs and a couple of Extensions!
Windows 7 x64 | Vivaldi x64

Thanks for this information Ayespy. We clearly need some way to distinguish them in the future and maybe even an ability to switch from one channel to another.

Just an update on this - it seems like Google is the search engine affected. As far as I can tell, search suggestions aren't working with Google at all. They do work with Bing and DuckDuckGo. I've filed a bug for it and we'll see what happens!

I misstated what Vivaldi shows, or maybe the new version is slightly modified: 5 thumbnails, not 4, per row at full screen on my 11.6" laptop, but only 2 rows. With the window at its normal size it's 3 thumbnails per row, 2 rows per showing at any one time.

I am a designer, it is important to collect inspiration in the browser, I think in the "notes" can add the image management

Martini,
Plug-ins are set globally, not by site, but to run plug-ins on demand:
In the Address Bar, left-click on the site name/padlock, then click 'Site Settings' on the 'Permissions' tab.
Scroll down to the 'Plugins' category and select the option you want, "Let me choose when to run plugin content" , then clock the 'Done' box on the lower right-hand corner to close the box.
The box will close and you will be left with a 'dead' page: vivaldi://settings
Or
Put chrome://settings/search#plugins in the Address Bar
Left-click the 'Content settings…' button and scroll down to the 'Plugins' settings and click the 'Done' button when you are finished. The box will close and you will be left with a 'live' Search results page and you can left-click the button to reopen the 'Content settings..." page

thx for the browser, since the first build it was my main browser. thanks Vivaldi Team, the begining of a new era

Would like to have a "Modern Classic" Vivaldi theme with fonts and a slightly pixellated look and all.
Otherwise great job. But there are some leftover annoyances which I described in another comment.

Congratulations.
Waiting for mail client to become my default browser instead of Opera 12.18. -
Ebbravo Giovannino!

Started to use Opera as one of the early users, and still use it sometimes - less when it stumbled in the adware trap, but then it started to move forward the right way again. Still, lately it has become more standard, and less unique - so finding Vivaldi was a new, highly positive experience during my life on the www.
Congrats, it's already my default browser -
I love the image of the upside-down cup on the main page under the name Kobiyashi. I am Keysor Soze!

Nice, perfect, precise, great work! Congratulations!
As synchronization will be available, Vivaldi surely will become my default browser!
Keep up the good work! -
The behavior of pop out windows is my only issue; they either don't open or open in a new tab. If that is corrected, I will switch over to Vivaldi exclusively.
