Snapshot 1.0.377.10 - Three days work and twenty two more fixes

Yeah, Vivaldi, like Opera 7-12 calls this opening in a 'background tab'. Vivaldi actually has a hidden z-order on the tabs, which is why you can cycle through them in recently-used order (and background tabs get sent to the bottom of the stack).
This has the benefit that closing the current tab returns you to the previously-used tab rather than the tab to the left or right.

Nice work. I enjoy smooth scrolling! and scale for all sites! and I go Vivaldi from Opera
-
We will gradually do more.
Cheers,

2. Please add search engine icons to the search box.
Mine says 'Search Bing' at the moment but if I click the drop-down arrow next to the magnifying glass, I see the appropriate icons next to each search engine's name and quick key.

Regression: Group of Tabs Ungrouped upon browser restart.
Windows 7x64, Vivaldi 64-bits.

2 is extra weird request for me
Opera 12, Opera 15+, Edge, Vivaldi - these browsers close tabs on MMB press
Chrome, Firefox - these browsers close tabs on MMB releaseYour request makes sense for buttons, but it's more like gesture than clicking a button. Personally - i've tried closing some tabs with Chrome & FF and it's okay - I don't feel real difference - but still - i think that's weird request :p

i preffer having trash on top :p

Your icon is blank on Windows 10 Start menu!

Just noticed that URLs with cyrillic letters inside show up URI-encoded in the status bar. For example - head over to https://bg.wikipedia.org and hover over the logo in the top left. Are you guys aware of that?
P.S. I thought it was only for the status bar, but it turns out that this is the case with the address field as well.

Wow, the new Vicaldi year starts with the same output pace than the olde one neded (and January is over again soon, anayway..)
What I what "love" to see for 1.0 stable release:
- double-click on empty tab bar opens new tab (I still have troubles to avoid this habit used from FF)
- allowing for 5% page zoom steps
Another feature request (for 2nd generation) is reuse of existing tabs. I have a tab group holding the most important Vivaldi configs (vivaldi://settings/all/, vivaldi://extensions, vivaldi://flags). However, each time I open the settings a new, additional settings tab gets opened.
Issue VB-11499 (not working paypal payment) is still open (just a hint, no complaint!).
Thanks for those 70+ official fixes this week!!

2. it's not an option if you have ten of them, and you use only 2-3 extensively. try hard as you can but you will not remember the shortcuts of the rare ones in a few days
-
It was work in progress. This is the collection we'll ship with Final, but like you mention; we will add the possibility to get all the old ones back, plus a whole bunch more – all in due time
-
Uhhhhmmmm, not on mine, but I'm using Classic Shell. Are you on an insider preview?
-
I'm on 11099 an the V icon is there.
Likely just unpin and repin vivaldi will fix the problem.

Can't reproduce here. (W10)

Still getting issues with disk thrashing. Some times I notice in task manager that vivaldi.exe is using 99% disk. When I close Vivaldi, one vivaldi.exe process remains in the task manager, but not showing in the task bar. It is causing the my hard drive to thrash reading and writing to the file "%LocalAppData%\Vivaldi\User Data\Default\Top Sites". I tried to do a fresh install and this still happens.
Windows 10 Pro x64, Vivaldi is 32-bit
Reported as VB-11789

Nice! And a light, thinner panel too?
-
I dunno, the ones I use are g google, d wiktionary, w wikipedia, z amazon, e ebay, x for my own website's search. That's 6 right there and I remember all of em. Also, you can set the keywords to be longer, like the whole name of the search type.

The Top Sites problem is known (I think I first reported it). Delete the file, it will be rebuilt on your next start and the thrashing should stop.
It seems the Viv team need to look at this again.
