Happy holidays: Vivaldi browser Beta 2 is here in time for holidays

Hi Jon,
that's a nice Christmas gift!
I'm missing the download link. So, hereby: https://vivaldi.com/download.The update within the browser itself fails (Help > Check for updates…) fails:

Great news!
But the search bar is still useless as it can't be set independently from quick search.
-
On the previous update, I complained about the tabs constantly and annoyingly closing on a seemingly random way.
I was going through the settings just now, and I think I have found the culprit.
"Double click to close tab".I have a feeling it sometimes registered clicks as double clicks, accidentally closing the tabs. I've disabled it it 5 minutes ago, so far so good. lol. Anyway if you don't hear anything about it anymore, it's good news
Can we put this one down to user error?
Can't wait to see what 2016 will bring us. (more customisable speeddial perhaps? sorry, had to sneak it in)
Keep up the good work guys. Even though i'm not French: Vive Vivaldi!!
Happy holidays and a very healthy 2016

Cheers and happy holidays to Jon von T and all the devs.
-
Merry Christmas to you all, too
-
Nooo, why now? I am stuck at work for the next 6 hours and have to wait until i get home until I can get the new beta…
But thanks a lot for the new beta (in advance ^^)

Need global page zoom.

Now that's GREAT! I finally had just started migrating to Vivaldi (replacing my still-used Opera 12.16 on Linux that is failing on more and more sites now), but was extremely unhappy with the automatic font and image scaling, which gave me too large text and blurry images.
Todays update fixed this, guess I'll now make it my default browser.
Still missing some of the Opera features that made life so easy for many (12?) years, but with the current state of vivaldi I can use it and wait for them to arrive
Thanks, and all the best luck! -
Happy New Year from Russia!
Thank you all, FRIENDS, for Vivaldi! And the battle for free and good international networks and browsers must go on! -
Whats new from latest snapshot?
-
Thank you, Vivaldi gave me hope again about the future of Web browsers.
-
Keep the good work but keep in mind that there is 0 reasons to switch yet so try to get some for the vivaldi 1.0 release
And add POST support to custom search engines, pls -
[question]: Are there plans to put online a NOC for content compression, like Opera Turbo? Or a simple switch to disable multimedia and plug-in download and execution with a click (stg like eco-mode)?
I frequently use wireless portable routers with 3G connections and this is the reason why I still use Opera (…). -
Hurray! Well done and happy Christmas to all!
-
Hurray!! Merry Xmas to all at Vivaldi! Thank you very much!
Will installing the Beta2 stop updates to the next snaphots? -
zero reasons? That is not much.
My reason why viv already is my first browser, is to test it under everyday conditions, maybe find some bugs and help making it better.
It isn't perfect but for the parts where I think that viv doesn't have the ability to give me the web experience that I want I have a second browser. And speaking for myself I am already annoyed by other browsers when I surf the web, because I use tons of shortcuts and most of them support only little useage of shortcuts- even less have the options to fully customise them.

Confirmed as well, can't update from 1.0.303.52 (Beta) (32-Bit) to this one on Win 8 x64.
-
Yes, it says that for me too, but the numbering is STILL 1.0. Is this really the Beta for Vivaldi 2.0 or is it still for 1.0?
And why have a Beta 2 for Vivaldi 1.0? What does that mean? I thought they were gonna go straight to final.

thnx:)
