Snapshot 1.0.344.24 - Closing in on beta 2
-
I cannot load the exercises on teoria.com (e.g http://teoria.com/en/exercises/c3e.php).
x64 ver Win10 -
Can't download the update. It keeps failing at 8.71 MB.
Edit: Failed at 8.71, failed at 8.71 again, then failed at 10.37, then I stwitched to another browser to download, and it took forever, but it completed and I got updated. Still, this requires some attention.

We still need a way to decide which sites can run javascript, plugins, accept cookies etc on a per site basis. It was in Viv earlier, then it was gone. It really needs to come back.
And my suggested option for whether new tabs open next to current tab or at the end, and child tabs open next to current tab or at the end.

The big thing I'm waiting on is support for bookmarklets (javascript: links, basically). Is that expected to show up for the beta or the final release?
Seeing VB-10837 go away has already made my day, by the way. Thanks!

Ever since the update to last week's snapshot, Flash Player hasn't been working properly for me. Whenever I try to run a Flash video/program, it says the Plug In is out of date, and updating it through Adobe's site doesn't do anything. I have to right click on the link and click on Run Plug In to make it work. Any solution for that?
Windows 7 x64, Vivaldi 64-bits.

Almost in Beta 2? Wow! I thought Beta 2 would release after Stable 1 will. I guess not.
In Beta 2, can we expect sync, mail, turbo, ad blocker, UI changes, animations, etc. etc. to come?
What are the plans with Vivaldi mobile? I can't wait to try out Vivaldi on Android, and delete the many browsers I have on my phone.
To recap, here are the same things I'd like to see in the near-future:
- New tab open next to active.
- History panel.
- Light panel (and maybe make the panel thinner too).
- Change V logo on top left to something that blends with all website colors. For example, the V logo changing color with the website like blue for Google Docs, Facebook blue, etc. or just put a plain white V there.
- Forget my search input immediately in the search bar.
- Maybe a "close other tabs to the right" and "close other tabs to the left" options.
- Ability to at least move tabs with the keyboard, but this wouldn't be totally needed for me if the new tab already opened next to the active one.
- Option to not use Flash.
- Address bar giving suggestion from last thing typed. Ex. when I type F, I expect Facebook to immediately show up, not ft.com. I don't even know what ft.com is, and I'd like Facebook.com to always show up because that's what I always type when I type F.
That's it for now, but I really want to see a bunch of those implemented, especially the V logo change!
Other than that, looking forward to Beta 2!

Isn't that a good thing?
-
example: http://www.webconfs.com/http-header-check.php
and as @pettern says - it's related to POST method. By default Chromium supports just GET requests. ChrOpera supports POST: http://i.imgur.com/GPQ76Jh.png -
I can't even get flash player working. It just says it's already installed but disabled, but I can't find where to enable it.
-
Not when the popup is a little login box, or similar.
-
For me this extension gets disabled every time: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/facebook-video-downloader/ailljefjagbgbiedgnpdahpdhfpkaadj
Most of the times i notice it's missing I see comment about it being disabled due to update which requires more privileges. No additional privileges get really added. I just found out while trying to get link to that extension it got disabled again. This time without that update message (so it's probably being shown each time it's get updated but disabled regardless of update)
-
I keep getting "Vivaldi.com" suggested, which is kind of irritating.
-
In what folder the files for auto update are stored?
-
I always use this page [http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer.html] to DL all versions. Be4 installing a new version always use the uninstaller provided at the bottom of the page. Never failed here [Win7-32, Seamonkey, Vivaldi, Opera 12.17 and even IE]
-
vivaldi.com is in our bookmarks if you have not deleted it yet.
So that could be the case for getting it suggested…anyway, it's really a bit weird that vivaldi.net is always 2nd after vivaldi.com which do correspond with alphabetical order but not with most visited once (which is more native I guess)

Win 7 64Bit, 32 Viv
Wow, again I'm holding my breath, so far looks really good. CPU 1% and Free Memory 2240 Meg and seems to be rock solid so far in 15 Min. No streaming tab… but on top of all that I have mail, encrypted volume, and FF open! Really impressed hope it hold I'm going to let it sit and then load streaming and see what happens.
Thanks team, like I said SO FAR LOOKS great!!!
PS: 45 Min still rock solid maybe a few Meg down but just varies that much..have things to do if I come back still good I'll load streaming. And if THAT works Viv is my browser finally!!
-
I also use this in other browsers. It would be nice if devs could get it working.
-
Flash Player PPAPI have crashes, but NPAPI is normal.
-
tbh a good program use as much free RAM as much free RAM you have (not speaking about CPU, CPU usage should be as low as possible with smooth behaviour)
-
Still, if you have tab place at bottom, you can't read SSL certificate information, because it's going lower than your screen.
