Vivaldi launches its first beta

Well done. It will by may main browser as soon as sync function will be avalibale.
Likewise, sync please.
-
"Full Extensions support". This is a bit "pompous" statement. It's much to work to be "full".
-
Yes, I'm mostly rooting for the memory optimization so as to use much less memory than it is now. Tab freezing is another great perk about it. Come on already with Chromium 46!
-
Congratulations Jon and Team for making it this far. In my case it's not even one year since I've watched development and the improvement is substantial. I can't wait to see all you will add in time!

extension Full Page Screen Capture does not work http://i.imgur.com/eLFHApc.png

I'm so happy!
Question. I want to share this on Facebook where is the link? Or is it the copy and paste crap? -
One needs to understand, of course, that sync is not just a "function." It is also a fairly massive and expensive infrastructure.

I was a big fan of old Opera's "Fast forward" function so I was pleased to see that Vivaldi has a fast forward button but I still can't find any use for it, the only page that I've seen it work on is Google search results and who goes to page 2 on that?
Any chance this will work properly sometime in the future?

The delete is pretty weird, it doesn't confirm in any way that you've deleted anything. Try opening and closing the panels (F4, F4) then the bookmark you were trying to delete is gone. I'm using Native Window on Windows 7 64 bit (32 bit Vivaldi).

Just started using Vivaldi a couple days ago. Fantastic job. What other customization options can we expect down the road?
-
Still unusable to me due to high disk usage that freezes V pretty much every time you open a tab.
-
Tons. If you explore everything Opera 12.16 can do, expect to see Vivaldi move in that direction.
-
Could you ever? I was only aware that you could (and still can) drag from the address bar to the bookmarks bar.
-
I don't get that on any of my boxes here. What sort of resources does your system have?
-
A Core i7 with 16 GB of RAM. The disk is a standard WD Caviar Blue. But I don't think it's a matter of resources, I also have been using V as my main browser on my work laptop, crappy laptop, and it works just fine there. The only thing I can think of that is different is the anti-virus, but I just disabled it and no performance gain whatsoever.
-
Perhaps we could implement support for Scope Interface just for Vivaldi.
-
sorry I have a noobie question here, So i was using the older tech prefix and still fine watching twitch tv but with the beta I can't watch it anymore. Is there any of extension or plug in do i have to install ?
I'm using windows 10 home and adguard extension with the beta. -
Congratulations, this is my new choice for browsing the web! I LOVE it!
-
Excellent! I would like as part of this release suggest something. I think we should not integrate a mail client in the browser. A browser is just a browser. Putting extra functionality makes it heavier, slower. They could overtake Opera, and launch a separate email client available for Linux.
Thanks

For me, it's 1) user configurable Speed Dial: much smaller thumbnails, edit thumbnail text, have number of columns per setting w/o having to expand window; and 2) scalable print preview (or a way to switch to another browser without having to copy and paste).
