Snapshot 1.0.303.22 - Further stablization
-
My Macbook (OSX 10.6.8) has an Intel Core 2 Duo and the Activity Monitor says that both kinds of Programs are running, Intel and Intel (64-Bit). Chrome Version 46.0.2490.71 (64-bit) is working fine.
On the other hand, I can use only 3GB of RAM, so I am not entirely sure
Thanks for looking into the Problem!
Cheers -
BUG - Sound icon is out of the tab when is the playing tab pinned.
-
Sorry, my question was probably not precise. I meant to ask if your MacOS is 64-bit.
-
I still have the problem with the memory. Right now I have 6 vivaldi processes and totally it drains almost 1GB of my memory. The disk is writing all the time.
-
Fixed in the snapshot which will be released very soon.
-
Afaik you can't optimise for a specific type of ram
I'm sure they're trying to tweak memory usage as much as they can.

Typing with kana input using Japanese IME on Google Translate either doesn't work at all, or cancels to roman letters after typing one character (and activates again if I click the input field, only to cancel again after one character has been typed). https://translate.google.com/
The physical layout of my keyboard is Swedish in case it matters, but I guess not (it works in every other browser). The drawing and voice functions also won't work at http://jisho.org/#handwriting
I'm on Windows 10 64-bit.
(Can I check reported bugs somewhere?)

I would be very happy using Vivaldi if:
1. my Speed Dial thumbnails would be visible when I launch Vivaldi;
2. there was a button that would allow me to refresh all my Speed Dial thumbnails at
once (rather than to have to refresh each individual Speed Dial one at a time);3. I could perform a Search from the URL bar;
4. I could perform a Search from the Search bar without having to pick the Search
Engine first;5. after performing a Clear Private Data, Vivaldi would get back to my Startup With
page rather than displaying a white screen with the world Vivaldi in its upper left
corner. -
I did notice in this build that upon launch, background tabs were suspended until the first time I clicked on them, which seems to support what you're saying (and btw I love this feature).
-
Personally, I dislike coloured scroll bars. I prefer a consistent colour to help me see at a glance where I am in the page.
I do agree with you on seeking to original position after reload though.

Hi there! as always, thank u for your work, vivaldi is my only browser for couple of mounthes, and it's awesome. there's, indeed, one bug, that really makes my life harder:
Segfault on image drag'n'drop.
Win7, x64, Vivaldi/1.0.303.22

According to this page (https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/159043/how-can-i-boot-an-intel-core-i7-imac-in-64-bit-mode) it looks like I have a 32bit OS. When I type uname -a into the terminal it says RELEASE_I386 i386 and I can't change that by pressing 6+4 during startup…

Feature request:
- Allow gesture Down-Right where the gesture starts on the tab thumb to close that tab (currently it closes the currently viewed tab, which is not ideal).
- Option to remove the "X" close on tab thumbs since I sometimes switch tabs by left click mouse and my muscle memory seems trained to click right around the position on the thumb where the "X" simultaneously and magically appears. D'oh!
-
I am not a Mac person so cannot help you verify if your system is 32-bit, but if it is, then I confirm Vivaldi will not work on it. It is already a really old system… Vivaldi will work only on 64-bit MacOS 10.6. Or on versions later than 10.6.

to reproduce the bug u need to drag any images from any site to your computer (total commander or plane explorer app). it happens couple time a day at two my computers.

Having an issue, even with this latest snapshop. Started a few snapshots ago, right after the first one that gave extension support.
Vivaldi takes forever to boot. Looking at task manager (even still) it's using around almost 2GB of memory and takes around 2-5 full minutes to launch. I've tried with 32Bit and 64Bit to no avail.
My computer is an x64 based Windows 10 O.S. with an AMD Phenom II BE clocked at 3.4GHz, 8GB of RAM, so I've got plenty of power. I can't get behind what's causing this unless it may me an incompatibility issue with Windows 10. But like I said, it was working just fine until not too long ago. Not looking for a quick fix, just wanted to make it aware in case others are experiencing the same issue.

S/he is most likely trying to type in search phrases and ends up with a lowercase letter. I know what they mean.

Your correct; Tended to use Case Sensitivity as conventional.

Do you find that they Hibernate, if not visited for a (short) period?
Not sure if it is acting as the Great Suspender, or, Tab Hibernation? -
For me, they do not hibernate once they've been activated. I might not be waiting long enough though! (Also: I wouldn't really want them to be reloaded again the next time I've clicked on them, though perhaps going to sleep might be acceptable if suitably turn-off-able).
