Snapshot 1.0.303.22 - Further stablization

You still can not translate the entire web sites.

The lack of 64bit builds for windows was simply a mistake on my part. I accidentally cancelled the build.
-
next snapshot will have everything. The only reason that there is not 64bit Windows build is that I accidentally cancelled it on the build server that produces it.
-
No, that is not the reason. I simply cancelled the build by mistake. But we will look into that issue. Are others having it? Reply below.
-
Yes, the next 64bit build will include these fixes and be the same as the other platforms.
-
It is present as long as I can remember in all builds from pretty much the beginning. It happens if you install Vivaldi x64 into "Program Files" which I think is the default if you install for all users as I did.
If I remember correctly, somebody once wrote that otherwise it's installed into "Program Data" which AFAIK does not need elevated rights.
But IMO "Program Files" makes more sense and the added security (which is why elevated rights are needed) of this folders is a good thing for a browser installation. So IMO it is a mixture of the installer not asking for elevated rights and the default being in an unprotected folder (which is why many people may not see this error).
Thank you very much.
Vivaldi is my new default browser after using Opera since the very early days
I really appreciate what you guys are doing! -
BUG: Play a YouTube Video in fullscreen then click the fullscreen button on the video. Vivaldi crashes every time.
-
Is the next snapshot gonna have the 64bit Windows with the same fixes as this snapshot and the next?
-
Hmm, here it crashes when I go back from full screen to "normal"
… every time ...Win7x64 Vx32
-
Yeah we are looking into the crash

Known crasher

Fix for the weekend?
-
That's okay, Ruario. Don't worry too much about it. Is there a way to get the 64bit version out right away! How does that work?
And how many snapshots you figure till the Beta comes out?
-
Not fixed yet, but hoping so

The night is still young ,…

Cannot confirm on a stand-alone Win7-64 installation of 32-bit Vivaldi 1.0.303.22. The update from within the 'check for updates…' Help panel performed flawlessly, and that new_vivaldi.exe file was nowhere to be found; the installed vivaldi.exe file's internal version listing shows correctly as 1.0.303.22.

There is an issue with upgrades not updating available mouse gestures. On my desktop I've never had a CLOSE gesture, but my laptop does. Even after upgrading to .303 today I still don't have the CLOSE gesture. It seems that it's preserving the old gesture list when upgrading.
-
Confirmed. A fresh install not only gives me a CLOSE gesture, but a NEW one as well! Finally, the one thing keeping Vivaldi from being my daily driver! FINALLY! HAHAHAHAHAHA yay. ^_^

After updating my 32-bit stand-alone version, my default StartPage search engine was missing from the search box options. I attempted to re-install it via the StartPage website's auto-supplied 'Chrome' button, but the install repeatedly refused to "take" in Vivaldi; instead the site immediately would pop up a message regarding using Chrome's settings to select the correct search engine from the list (none of which helped with Vivaldi), as well as a cautionary message about being sure not to be in a privacy mode (which I was not). Finally, using Vivaldi's settings panel and copying over the data from my old TP3 Vivaldi install, I was able to get StartPage working correctly in the newest 303 Vivaldi version. Never had this happen before with Vivaldi…

Nice one.
