Thanks for the warning with the tabs on the side. I'll wait for the next update.
Visibility of the loading progress still seems to be a little dark with dark theme anabled. I'd like a little more contrast.

Keep up the good work! Thank you.

Might it be possible to make the text a bit larger? Maybe even remove the square box around the numbers to allow the text to be bigger? Thank you for reading.

This, please. With ability to drag&shift+drop tabs into it, like it was in Presto Opera.

Is it possible to make tabs stop that resize-on-active and make it happen behind the scenes? The @media breakpoints are not triggering sometimes and the page stays in 'mobile' mode.

I don't think there is any need to disagree, let alone vehemently, unless you think that Vivaldi should not have any Extensions API to support extensions.

It's really just a difference of opinion regarding which features should be regarded as essential core features, and which should be implemented via extensions.

Some would say that email is not a core feature, but you and I regard it as essential.

Some would like to have Torrent support, but I would be happy to use a third-party application for that if I ever needed it.

I would like to see core support for APNG as we have for WebP, and I want to be able to do everything that I need without installing any extensions, but I realise there's always going to be some extensions that some users want.

I solved the same problem by uninstalling Vivaldi (while keeping preferences).

                    Win 7 64, 8 Gig, 32 Viv

                    @Pesala:

Is it just for me or do others see the blog index page as broken now in Opera 12.17?
It is fine in Vivaldi, but in Opera, Firefox, and IE11 the Downloads panel overlays the blog heading and the large image is misplaced.

                    Ditto for me …...

I'll be GLAD when all these small issues are fixed where I can use ONE browser! I jump from FF to Viv all the time. Viv doesn't allow me to load Flash plug in ( most of my streaming wants it NOT HTML5 ) and FF that I just installed 40.2 doesn't render this page correctly and I don't like its interface NEARLY as well.

Also I can't get the edit button with EITHER to show upon this blog...seems like all are having problems.

                      @Pesala:

installing Flash again didn't make any difference

Same here. I manually checked for updates of Vivaldi x64 on Windows7. When I installed the last two snapshots, flash stopped working, both of the times.
I solved the problem by uninstalling Vivaldi (while keeping the profile) and re-installing it.
The problem seems to be related to Vivaldi's update mechanism.

Terrible build for me… Some very basic thing don´t work! I am running Win7 64bit and 32-bit Vivaldi.

                        1. I am unable add note to the Notes by selecting the webpage text and using the context menu option
                        2. clearing the browsing history from the History page don´t work
                        3. when I type some special char (e.g. "@") to the webpage form field, the focus is stolen by address bar
                        4. some pages that works with another browsers don´t work in Vivaldi, e.g. www.mapy.cz (there is no possibilty to find the adequate route by choosing the start and destination point)
I know, it´s not the final build... Please try to make the basic features usable before you add another new ones.

                          Maybe a Bug (?):

Strange behaviour regarding scrolling by arrow keys while display two stacked sites at once after tab cycling in chromeless mode (as you can see I put all my energy in the construction of obscure situations just to feel important around here for posting a maybe bug 😃 )

                          For reproduction:

                          3 tabs open minimum
                          –> stack 2 tabs
--> rightclick stabed tabs and select "Tile Tab Stack"
--> you can switch between both with ctrl+3 and crtl+4
--> press ctrl+F11 to switch to chromeless
--> now press crtl+3 or ctrl+4 (use only one direction) as long until you made a complete round through your tabs and end up in your split screen again
--> use up and down arrows a few times to see how they behave
--> switch to the other tab of your splitscreen
                          --> move the arrow keys
--> for me only the tab is affected with the arrow key witch I entered first after the "circle" through all tabs. the blue "this is your active tab frame" switches but when I use the arrow keys they are still stuck at the first tab. when I make a mouse click in the other tab everything is fine and is working as it should

Now the question: can anybody reproduce this, did I just miss a thing, is it a bug, is it some kind of weird tech-magic or is it just too special to be cared about? ^^

                          Edit: win 7 32-bit, Viv 32-bit

                            Notes seem broken
can sort of add notes from address bar urls
[adds the url text as the note body and]
                            ["chrome-extension://blabla" as the note url]
but not from web page text
is this a known bug or is it me only ?

                            [win7 x64]

Sadly, still unresolved AND blocking a switch from Opera:

                                • Possibility to turn off "Alt" key for gestures (Alt key is used for virtual desktop switching. When I switch to the Vivaldi desktop while moving the mouse (which is a 90% case) Vivaldi closes tabs, changes history, or doing random things.)
                                • Configurable mouse gestures: new background tab is "down", not "down-up".

Luckily, these are only 2 things to go. PLEASE fix old issues with (slightly) higher priority than implementing new ones.

Web Panels: I'm just checking that I'm doing this right…

For pages like Twitter & Facebook, you can't click links to open them, but you can drag them to the main browser.

                                  Is that correct?

Jolly good, I'm glad it worked, for a moment I was unsure how accurate my memory was. I'm going to make a pot of tea.

                                            1. It would be nice if the link panel and windows panel also return.

                                            2. Seems to be an issue. The mouse pointer automatically select lines in address bar dropdown even if I do not move the mouse.
Say I type "www.e" in the address bar. I do not move the mouse pointer, however it just point to "www.ebay.com/". The line quickly shows it. When I further type, it becomes www.ebay.com/bay
                                            It becomes a bit annoying.
