I've been watching closely & silently the development of Vivaldi since the beginning, http://blogs.opera.com/desktop/2015/01/opera-27-computers-bookmarks-tabs-navigation-bar/#comment-1819321828 , just wanted to welcome Ruari aboard to the re-incarnation of the best and only true browser (karma it is & Olafur clearly predicted it back then: https://twitter.com/olafura/status/560007871631732736 😎 ). Vivaldi can only get better with Ruari in the team.

P.S.OK I will admit it here, it was rather that boy-band he is secretly cooking behind, the reason for the welcome. I'm admitting being a potential groupie of it

Finally! - Add tab cycling via right click + mouse wheel
And another nice feature - Switch tabs with mouse-wheel over tab bar.

Good job, keep it going 🙂 .

edit: woot, cant cycle with mouse between just 2 tabs, it runs in circle, still not good, but hopefully in next build.

Just chiming in to express my support for removing the border between the top of the tabs and the top of the window. I use a tiling window manager and this is the only thing stopping me from switching to Vivaldi as my primary browser!

Also, I hope it will be possible to have the stable version installed side-by-side with the snapshot without the snapshot affecting stable's data.

Maybe a feedback according to the setting page (alt+p) change:
the colour is grey and uglier than before. Why it can't take colour from the favicon of the page which is opened in the background of the dialogue?

it's simply ugly if I see all in red (on this blog) but the setting page is in monotone/chromium*

*chromium is a type of colour -> it does not reflect to a browser/Chromium project

Actually chromium is a shiny metal, and reflects anything

Finally update chromium version. As I know you skipped 3 version and updated from 41 to 44. Great!

Via extension issue I think we will get them soon.

Opening a new tab with custom Start Page background (PNG/gif) is taking unusually long time. It's taking 2-3 seconds to open a new tab every time I'm trying to open a new tab. However, Vivaldi is more responsive with default background images.

BTW, I like the new settings menu. It looks more organized and mature.

Could you supply a screenshot to explain this? Not quite sure if I'm getting it.

There is Mail tab in settings, but it is empty. I do not recall, if it was present in previous builds. There is something going on… 🙂

You mean it's overly sensitive for you? Do you have an Apple magic mouse by chance? What's your platform?

The checkbox "Use Page Theme Color" in "Window Appearance" section of the settings window doesn't seem to do anything and it doesn't even stay checked when the window is closed or the section is changed.

The themes are still work in progress, so please give us more feedback on what we could change to improve Vivaldi's look even further.

Currently only the active tab has the color of the page and all others are gray. It would be nice if inactive tabs would also retain a tint of their respective page´s color, so you can find the tab you´re looking for more easily.

No, its working great, but its not working as in o12, for example, if i have 10 tabs open, in o12 RMB+wheeldown, release, then again RMB+wheeldown cycles just between 2 same tabs, now in vivaldi it just runs through all 10 tabs.
To simulate that now, i can RMB+wheelUP and then RMB+wheelDOWN, so it cycles just 2 tabs. Problem is when i forget did i use wheelUp or wheelDown previous time, so two times wheelUp would break that 2 tabs switch and continue cyrcle.

Wow, i wanted to answer simple, but guess that did not happen :).

Wow! There is way to much good stuff in this snapshot! Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have the same number of tabs open as before I updated to this version but in Process Explorer I see half the processes; overall memory usage is half. What did you do??? This is great. Love the dark theme. Could you possibly extend the dark theme to the scrollbars? I really hope you will eventually remove the 1-2 pixel space on either side of the slider tab. Super sweet work. Thank you again.
