Snapshot 1.0.196.2 Spatial navigation improvement, Mac build fixes, Windows 64bits get auto-update
-
There's a problem with YouTube (for example this one ). I can't view it at higher resolution than 360p, while it works in IE and Chrome. I think this is a missing codec problem. Windows 10 build 10130 - 64bit
-
It is currently being investigated as to why it happens, hopefully a fix will be in soon.
-
I finally managed to get 95% but it has been pretty difficult. For some reason it seems that the slider works better above 120% and below 90%, but you have to try hard between 90% and 120%.
I also got an "invalid token" when connecting to my "community" account. Had to retry twice.
Although Vivaldi has been my default browser since 190.2, the main feature I am missing is a full support for extensions (UI, downloading and updating).
Vista x86. -
Yes, we know about this. It's missing H264 codec. It's high priority for us.
-
This should hopefully be gone as soon as we update to Chromium 43. Let us know if it isn't then.
-
-
As someone mentioned above the UI zoom slider is still only working at 10% and not 5%. Perhaps this works for some and not others.

RSS reader missing

Mouse gestures are still wrong / mixed up (example "down" now means "close tab" instead of "open in new background tab"). I'd consider this a major issue.

Nice to get new TPs every week again! Some glitches I dont't like:
- the tab-indicators of tab stacks have moved a little bit down (when tab-bar is shown on the side).
- the appearance of those indicators could be better (more than just 1px Margin between them; colorization? (for indicating status: active, inactive, loaded, tab has been already seen))
- When tab-bar is on the side, I'd like to see the little "New Tab"- and the "Trash"-Symbols next to each other so that there is just one place to look for the tab bar functions
- I am not able to create a tab-stack by dragging a tab over another anymore…
- oh, speed could be far better. Vivaldi is remarkably slow, when compared to other browsers
- (missing mail...)
Don't get me wrong: I LOVE Vivaldi as I loved the old Opera! That's why I care about it that much and start to nag around on your blog...
Have fun programming!

When using "find in page" I regularly get to the point that I can't hide the search bar any more. That's especially annoying since it covers part of the web site. It also sometimes gets kind of stuck, displaying e.g. "12 of 325", never updating the number but otherwise working fine. I'm on Windows 7 x64 with Vivaldi x64.
-
The 4 tabs that were open are ones I always have open. thing is I work help desk ( I was on the phone at the time ) and the browser was just at idle on screen. ( godaddy workspace, live.com, engadget.com, gmail, were the things that were open and are always opened.

Thank you for the new 64-bit snapshot, Captain Vivaldi!
And thank you to whomever fixed the "W" key's keyboard mapping! The group "W" bench broke on the next release after someone mentioned it but it's working again:
W+Shift+ <arrow>moves the orange caret/highlight.
Highlight+Shift+Enter opens a URL in a new tab and switches to it.
Highlight+Ctrl+Enter opens a URL in a background tab.
Highlight+Alt+Enter is the same as Enter and opens a URL in the current tab. There is also an ongoing cosmetic display problem. If Vivaldi is set to open to the SpeedDial page, it has an odd, erratic habit of opening with the SpeedDial thumbnails stacked in a vertical column:-
Refreshing the page arranges the thumbnails correctly.
The Page zoom levels affect the SpeedDial page but the zoom can't be changed. This particular time, the UI zoom was at 95% and Page zoom was also 95%.
Windows 7 Pro x64, Vivaldi x64</arrow>

Gotcha! Thanks!

Mouse gestures do get some love right now. I guess next week's build will be for you.

Gwen-Dragon: Nice workaround! Almost all of the other browsers failed on that site too, not just Vivaldi. Chrome passed when I added your workaround to its shortcut too, thank you!
Naturally, Opera 12.17 prompted for the bogus certificate and passed when I rejected it.
Unfortunately for me the string is too long to work with my shortcut and gets truncated part way through the list. The workaround won't work if Vivaldi is started by clicking a link that bypasses the shortcut, either.
I use the "–user-data-dir=" switch with the Vivaldi shortcut because Vivaldi's installed in 'Individual mode' to a separate drive:\subdirectory and that makes it blindingly obvious when the shortcut has been bypassed. If it was a default install I'd be totally oblivious but that's one of the reasons for not using a default install in the first place.

Highlight+Shift+Enter opens a URL in a new tab and switches to it.
Highlight+Ctrl+Enter opens a URL in a background tab.
Highlight+Alt+Enter is the same as Enter and opens a URL in the current tab.I have a problem with this… the links are opened as they should but then the tab's focus is lost : I can't use "Ctrl + Tab" to navigate between tabs and I can't use "1 or 2 or 3 or 4" to jump between them...
This has bugged me since the previous snapshot : the tabs lose focus UNTIL they are loaded and then the focus comes back... but if you have a SLOW Internet Connection, then until the page has been loaded, the tab doesn't get its focus back...
There are some other aspects in Vivaldi that are designed with Speedy-Internet-Users in mind and haven't been tested if they work smoothly when used with a slow internet connection !
Please pity us Slow-Internet-Connection Peasants !

By the way, I have 2 "Add Selection as a New Note" menu items when right clicking on a selected text.

Bug? - [Mac] Nothings happens when I press on SHIFT+Arrows (spatial navigation). Or am I just using the wrong keyboard shortcut?
EDIT: Figures. SpatNav shortcuts are gone in settings. Why's that? Am I missing something here? Hmm…And also, Esc key doesn't always exit the Find in Page dialogue/field box. That's for both Mac and Windows.

Nice to know it's a high priority matter. Really hope this gets added to Vivaldi before the Beta version (I wanna make the switch to HTML5 as soon as possible).
