Snapshot 1.0.190.2 Startpage customization, UI zooming, auto-update on mac and more
-
Same here with the 64bit on win8.1. Also had to disable windows smartscreen
-
it's intended. (at least I hope sinec tab preview is part of UI as well). Anyway, you can set preview high (if placed on top/bottom) or weidh (if placed right/left). So it should not be a problem.

No mail yet?
-
- x64 installer didn't remember, that last time I installed a standalone installation with installationpath
if I move a bookmark, other folder disappear(probably resolved with restart from browser after switching from use system window- can we use transparent backgrounds?
but very cool update! makes fun to see the progress
P.S. plz make an option to open every tab in a new tab; I'm waiting for a long time for this
-
Still no menu for a bug reporting "Help -> Report a bug"? I know that there are a lots of tweaks that can be fixed or be simply done fast and it's hard to prioritize that but consider to put it on your "to do list" please
-
Two bugs:
- the paneele ignores the color theme setting.
- the tab bar is too short (http://i.imgur.com/lAn7EKf.jpg)
-
I second that! I hate how Chromium based browsers make everything to big. Now I can make things look smaller, fit more into the screen and get more space for the page. The only complaints about this feature I have are on how there are no "midterm" options (you can't make it 95%, for example, it's either 90% or 100%) and that the UI needs a bit of polishing for other sizes.
-
I don't understand. Why you are calling ability to change Startpage background image as it stands. It is usually called as fully customisable theme support.
Enough of that. Importing data on linux x86 is still not working for me (tested only on Opera15+ data), but it is not crashing anymore. Around 50% of the time you can see Startpage being rendered from scratch (Speed Dials being sorted, dark background, etc.). Closing tab with middle-click is focusing on address bar in last used tab (sometimes pasting clipboard content into it too). I hope speed improvements to land every week from now on, because it is still not so good.
-
Yeah, at 80% here. Love this new setting, used to be so discomforted when I come home to my somewhat low res screen, with huge UI elements. (My work machine is high res)
-
I like Vivaldi a lot. But:
Speed of the UI has to be improved significantly. It sometimes takes 1-2 seconds when e.g. opening a new tab. Or is this because I'm using the 64 bit windows version? What's experimental about it anyway? -
Regular.
-
To be honest Sync is the only thing I am missing, it's keeping me from updating and managing my bookmarks.
It also keeps me from setting up speed dial at every location, because I know I'll have to do it again later.
-
Spatial navigation is still behaving strange. When you press SHIFT + UP here you end up here. And then try to get back to the previously selected "Drag and Drop". It's close to impossible. Even more funny is when "setMouseTracking" is highlighted and you press SHIFT + DOWN. You end up really far away!
-
What file should I edit to have my GUI be sized 95%? The preferred GUI resize percentage likely follows a normal distribution around 100%, so the slider jumps past many users' ideal resize percentage. Letting users explicitly enter a percentage seems appropriate.
Is there any way to remove the space above my tabs? Opera has this feature.
-
 You can now put an animated GIF as the Startpage background image
(didn't find any good ones, though β¦ stressful for the eyes) -
I can also confirm that error (using the installer instead of auto update). I also got the smart screen warning for unknown publisher. Windows 8.1 X64
-
Tab Creation Time is my concern too⦠Unlike ChrOpera, Vivaldi tends to lag when creating a new tab (Hold "Ctrl + t" for a few seconds and experience hell !)...
This is one of most bothersome aspects of the UI as the lag makes you perceive the browser slower than others in the long run...
BUT this was discussed previously and they are working on it... Fingers crossed...

Does anyone have any scenic, animated WebP images?
-
Yandex used to have some of them (I think they were in MP4 or WebP however) and surprisingly the animation felt relaxing (it was a green field and the grass was moving in the wind I think)β¦
I hope Vivaldi puts some preloaded animated Backgrounds in Vivaldi too (like Yandex)...
-
It won't download, it just download 50.48mb, therefor Mac can't install it. What happen? Used Vivaldi and tried it on Chrome also, no luck.
