Snapshot 1.0.111.2 now with experimental 64-bit Windows build and more language support

You can choose any folder to be used as bookmark bar. If you want one called "bookmark bar" just create and use it.
-
Depends on the extension. It's known. Extensions are not supported officially yet. Some work will be done there until they are.
-
What extension? All of them? We know about one that crashes because it tries to access a api we have disabled for now.
-
- vivaldai needs a bookmark folder called "Bookmark Bar" so all the bookmarks for bookmark bar could be stored in here instead of by default set to "Speed Dial"
You can create this folder yourself - and call it whatever you like. Any folder can be used as bookmark bar
And this may yet be one of the most powerful bookmarking features yet of any browser. It means you can set up completely different bookmarks-bar contents for different reasons/needs and invoke any of those bars by a simple right-click of the appropriate folder. For technical users who rely on specific sets of bookmarks for different purposes, this has some profoundly positive flexibility implications.
-
BUG: Printing dialogue is rendered above the interface. – When Vivaldi's window is small, it hides the title bar and system buttons.
-
omg you're right. I didn't know you could set any bookmark folder simply by right click. I was still used to the old way of doing this, but this implementation is definately way better. I love how I was able to switch on the fly very easily without the need to constantly go to settings. I was about to create my own folder "bookmark bar" but now I realize I don't need to, I just leave my bookmark folders as is and then add them as to bookmark bar when I need it
-
I'm very close to migrating over from opera 27 totally. What I still need is extension, but most importantly I need a way of importing all my bookmarks/speed dials over. I haven't work out how yet without some convoluted way of installing another browser and coverting opera 27 bookmark system into another format for Vivaldi to recognize it
-
Maybe it's not a bug, but a feature? Vivaldi window must be really small to display things as you described. I don't think browser window this size would be usable anyway. But if it's really a bug they should fix it.
-
Need for a setting to allow opening Vivaldi to the user's home page. Right now the default seems to be the last page in focus.

Agree. This is more like the Opera of old. Nearly there..

Thank you. The Amazon bug was killing me. I could not search anything in the search box with letters SW.
Very, very annoying. I think I broke my keyboard
Thanks for fixing that.

One thing I noticed and a suggestion. On Windows, don't launch Vivaldi right after the installation. The reason is you are launching it with Administrator high privileges, if the installer is launching it after installation because its passing its privileges. The installer in Windows executes with high permissions and so its also launching the browser the same way. Some users may actually not close their browsers for hours and be browsing like this before they close it or restart it, then it executes correctly. Easy fix, don't launch it after installation. Not from the setup.exe at least.

Great job, but there is not the primary function of synchronization of everything and using two computers and a smartphone, I can not use Vivaldi as the default browser and then dispose Opera12 and other browsers that somehow have.
Do you have a prediction for when it will be added? I hope really soon …
Also missing the function on the right to open links in tabs in the background, that i use a lot.
Vivaldi can support the opening of hundreds of tabs at the bar and maybe without filling up all the memory of the PC, as did Opera12? -
Opening links using right mouse button is not efficient anyway. Why don't you use middle mouse button for that? That's one click instead of right click and choose open in background.
-
Opening links in background using right mouse button is not efficient. Middle mouse button is working quite well in this regard (you do one click instead of one right click and one left click on the menu item to choose open in bacground).
You can also left click on the links while holding CTRL key and you will get the same result.
Strange thing is that middle mouse button click and left click + CTRL doesn't work this way on rottentomatoes.com -
@maxxxp (reply doesn't work for me for some reason)
Right mouse button is not efficient to open links in the background. Middle mouse button is good for this. You can also use combination CTRL and left click. It's faster.
I don't know why those methods doesn't work on rottentomatoes.com though. -
Still can't install it from User account
-
Where is the "preferences" file stored on Windows 7 SP1 64 bit? Great work!
-
I believe a lot of you might know it by now, but for those of you who don't know… Vivaldi can install any add-ons from Google Chrome Web Store.
You can also manage those extensions on Vivaldi by going to vivaldi://chrome/extensions -
Nice!, I use it every day now . Please also integrate the Master Password soon
