[BUG] Opening developer tools downloads purify.min.js.map
Mathijsco last edited by
I did notice when opening the developer tools with Vivaldi, one automatic request is done to retrieve purify.min.js.map.
It did not popup in the network tab, but my local Webserver is indicating that the file "/dist/purify.min.js.map" could not be found. After a little investigation, it looks like Vivaldi is doing that request when opening the devtools.
Tried also to replicate the issue on different websites, like Google and Bing. Also on those domains, an attempt is made to get the file. When opening in another browser, like Opera, the file is not requested.

I have the same issue.
Found this thread when searching google for "/dist/purify.min.js.map"
Edit: Forgot Vivaldi version: 1.6.689.40 (Stable channel) (32-bit)

Send a bug report here explaining the issue you have, so devs can check about that ;)
Yes, strange that purify injects in all webpages wehen running Dev Tools.
Purify. js is the part of the Vivaldi Reader Mode which enhances website to better readability.
That issue is already known since Nov 2016 as bug VB-23469.

Still an issue. Quite annoying to have these in development logs.
Fixit yourself. ;)

Thank you for your linked suggestion. My server always blacklists any and all such attempted URLs.
