[Resolved] Typing web address default entry

  • On chrome when I type in a web address, the default will usually be the root address from my history, then a few other popular sub-pages from my history, with bookmarks involving that address coming in last.

On vivaldi, every time I start typing, it always defaults to one of my bookmarks, which means to get to the root website, I have to type the entire name, then hit backspace to clear the bookmarked part of the address, instead of just typing 2-3 characters and pressing enter.

Is there a setting for this?

  • I figured it out. Deselecting "Always prefer bookmarks" in settings corrected the behavior.
