Numeric keys sometimes messing with page zoom and focus
-
I'm using Vivaldi on Elementary OS. On some sites when I try to type a number (on both the numeric and main pads), they are entered, but they also mess up with some other settings: 9 - Reduces zoom to 90% 8 - Increases zoom to 200% 7 - Reduces zoom to 50% 6 - Resets zoom to 100% 5 - Seems to not do anything special 4 - Switches to the next tab to the right 3 - Switches to the next tab to the left 2 - Minimizes the current tab 1 - Also minimizes the current tab, I think 0 - Zooms 10% This only happens on some sites (like, for example, tagged.com), while on some others it works okay.

Yes I noticed that.
It happens on windows too.
The password field of this site, for example

Try the new snapshot. Things should work there. We still have the shortcuts, but they should only work when you do not have the focus in a text field.
You got the shortcuts almost right as well. 1 and 2, however, should jump between tabs using historic use of the tabs. It is a quick way to get back to the last tab you visited. Very useful at times if you have a lot of tabs.
Cheers,

The fastest bugfix ever.
Thanks Jon

If 1 and 2 jump to tab using the historic use, how can we switch to left and right tabs? (useful to quickly visit all the tabs)

@Akbalder keys 3 and 4.

@Jon thank you. I can confirm that this problem is gone in v1.0.94.2.
Jon you're a legend!

Some textboxes/popup/windows don't take focus but allow you to type (the gmail -> g+ interface for updates for example). This seems to confuse Vivaldi as it appears to prefer the hotkey over allowing the keypress to be entered into whichever "textbox" like thing is available. The 'c' key switches tabs when I am trying to write something with the letter c in it, backspace reloads, etc. I added this here because it seemed to be related.
Edit: This is broken in the latest build (Version 1.0.94.2 stable (64-bit)).

The problem still persists Test it on https://netbanking.hdfcbank.com/netbanking/

I can confirm, on that very site the problem is still present, so the bug is mostly fixed…
