After update to 1.5.658.44 Vivaldi is trying to connect to...
Vivaldi is trying to connect to addresses:
188.8.131.52. UDP:1900 and
184.108.40.206. UDP:5353 and
Vivaldi 32-bit on Windows 7 64-bit.
wow! i would like to know, also. might be worth it to look through the eula to see if there are any changes. prob some type of telemetry. seems like everyone's jumping on that bandwagon these days.
linux will prob end up being the only computing platform that respects your privacy.
Just do a reverse ip whois
IP Address: 220.127.116.11
seems related to chromecast/multicast. Remember to wear your tinfoil hat when using Vivaldi
so again, why would vivaldi need to connect there?
not trying to be an a$$
The Multicast address is to internal IPs on your LAN, not to the Internet.
So you have no privacy issues you might be fearing about
It is done because Vivaldi searches for connected chromecast devices.
