Very dishearted, can't use Vivaldi under 12.04 LTS
-
First, I have installed Vivaldi just yesterday via dpkg -i --force-depends under my Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Precise Pangolin, since I own an old netbook as a workstation. And I was very suprised to feel like being home again, where Opera should be with the single key shorts. I love love love the browser already with its functions and very fast page loading. I am typing this under Vivaldi 1.5 now and it work even with the forced installation.
BUT: I always have the dependency errors which was mentioned here often.
In my case it's the libpango-1.0-0 (>=1.14.0) and libpangocairo-1.0-0 (>=1.14.0) and apt-get wants to deinstall Vivaldi to correct it.Why?! I wanted to migrate from Opera to Vivaldi because of the same functionality it offered, before 12.16 was discontinued and that crippled Opera came. Can you offer some backports for older distros?
And if not, can someone tell me how save/export every setting I did, before solving the dependency errors, if it's solvable for 12.04.
It would be short sighted not to support older distros like 12.04, because I really love Vivaldi for what it offers.

@Gwen-Dragon
sudo apt-get -f install was only leading me to uninstall vivaldi to solve the dependency issue =(. And that's no really what I want.

Please report this dependency for Ubuntu 12 LTS as a Vivaldi bug to https://vivaldi.com/bugreport/
Always getting a "Wrong captcha!" and I don't want to type all the things thrice again…
-
@Yen you have to type the result as a number, example "four + six" type 10
