It would be great if the Inspector could be docked
I decided to fire up Vivaldi after suffering from crashing in Opera when attempting to save files. The software quality seems to be going to shit, unfortunately (or, fortunately for Vivaldi). However, the one thing that is preventing me from fully crossing over is the fact that the Inspector can't be docked. I regularly use it docked for responsiveness testing with my web design. When the Inspector isn't docked, the webpage cannot be set to 320px. Plus, it's another window to keep track of.
This has been a request for almost a year, can this functionality get added in the next update? Or an update in the very near future?
Use this in the meantime.
Is modular and includes docked devtools as an option.
@luetage Hmm that's interesting. I'll check it out. Hope these features become integrated someday.
What about being able to add inspector to the Panel? Now that panels can be resized independently, one could make the inspector panel bigger than the rest and it uses the same UX as everything else without make an entirely new docking UX.
Speaking of which, making a separate bottom panel might be cool tool, for web panels that need to be wider.
@NiteShdw I like this idea alot!
Nice to heave but not easy to implement as Vivaldi has a User Interface which is different from Chrome.
But your feature wish is already on developers ToDo list of gazillion feature wishes for Vivaldi, as i know.
Sorry to say and sad, but you need more patience.
