Wish to stay put after opening tabs in new Win.

  • I can, of course, right click on a link and open a new window. Currently, Vivaldi automatically takes me to that new window!

That defeats the point. I want to stay in the same window (hence right click)

Could not find it in settings - It looks like I could "program it as a shortcut" But that is beyond my pay grade. - Thank you!!!

    Four ways to do this:
1: Right-click and choose the third option, "Open in Background Window."
    2: Middle-Click
    3: Ctrl+Click
4: Design a mouse-gesture (just go to Settings/Mouse, make sure gestures are enabled, run down the list of actions to "Open Link in Background Tab," and assign it an unused motion. The perform that gesture on any link.

  • @TomyKnee Do you actually mean a new WINDOW or a new TAB?

Ayespy's reply refers to opening TABs in background.

I do not think there is a way to open in a background WINDOW as yet.

You're right. No way to open in background WINDOW.
