Regular updates should be more frequent

  • I just had to switch to the Snapshot to fix a bunch of bugs, such as the progress indicator not working.

Obviously, major new features should be tested in the snapshot first, before being pushed to everyone. However, bug fixes, especially minor ones, should be pushed to everyone more frequently. People who choose to stay on the regular update channel do so because they want stability, not because they want to spend weeks waiting for bug fixes which are already applied to the snapshots.

  • Serious issues like Security or Crashes are updated quickly for Stables.

But other issues are fixed and new features are tested in weekly Snapshots.
If you want to have the latest fixes, please use Snapshots.

As is know, the developers wont update the Vivaldi Stables weekly. Too much work.
