@TbGbe -- Oh how simply wonderful, ta. I have not heard that song since i was a little kid, & had never seen the video [which is one year older than me; OMZ]. Now i have a theme song!
-
@pafflick -- Oh. My. Zarquon. This is magnificent -- how clever you are, thanks! It's a total win-win ... now i see my posts in purple again, but nobody else has to get all aggravated about it, & the Devs don't have to change the coding. I'm so happy that i might go slither about in a cold underground stream & catch a fish in my long spindly fingers to eat raw, just to celebrate...

@Steffie: after your several remarks concerning your age and decrepitude, I was pretty sure you'd be my elder. But NOOOOO, you're four years my junior. A tyke. A mere tyro. A spring chicken. I want to hear no more about your advancing seniority. You've nothing to complain of.
-
@Ayespy -- Yeah, yeah, yeah, we've already covered this before, & you've pulled seniority on me there. But i still reckon i'm a fighting chance to top you at least in the decrepitude stakes, even if you slightly edge me in the growth rings!
Oh, hang-on, my left elbow just fell off again. Bending down now to pick it up. Rats, there goes my scapula again. Wait, what's that ear doing on the floor?
-
@Steffie EPIC!!! I don't remember when I last heard this. I was young for sure. And too, I had never seen the video. But I remembered it just like it was yesterday. It's difficult to forget such a song. (Now you dated yourself. You are far from the seniors home!)
-
@Steffie: I'll confess to being at least somewhat fit despite my age and relative sloth. (prolly 12% bodyfat or something, no arthritis, no heart or cholesterol probs so far as I know and still capable of several pull ups, push ups and a fairly respectable sprint.) But I gotta say, I don't recover like a used-ta. A single good day at labor and I may ache for a week... At least I'm not shedding any body parts...
-
@g_bartsch -- Ha. And isn't it also interesting to see that despite the intervening decades, there's been no further developments in singer performance activity energy levels, or music video technology. Oh, wait a minute...
-
@Ayespy -- I find that voluntary leprosy is a marvellous alternative to all those tedious weight-loss techniques that involve, you know, actual movement & perspiration... Highly underrated.
-
@Steffie And yet another thread is derailed!
Mea Culpa -
@TbGbe -- Oh. Sorry to have upset another apple-cart.

Actually, you should've thanked to whoever made this nodebb thing, for putting so much junk in the code, so that it allows such manipulation. I haven't been into web development for a while and I didn't quite figure out how does this all work yet - it's new for me, but I already like it. I use it to quickly distinguish my posts while scrolling some threads, so I think it'll be useful in that matter for you too...
Using this technique you can do some other cool stuff, like hiding certain user's posts, changing their avatars, nicknames or whatever... You can for example change @Ayespy's nick to "TheMagicalBoy77" (or whatever you want to call him), and give him a hello kitty avatar, to giggle each time you see his posts (it would counteract his always-serious-tone for a little bit) and the best part is that he won't ever notice, coz it's for your eyes only.
I really hope he won't ban me for this...
-
@pafflick -- I am now giggling here like a mad thing. That's wonderful !
OK - you & i can agree to keep this as a little secret just between ourselves. TheMagicalBoy77 need never ever find out about this, ok? Shhhh, just whisper, in case he's listening.
-
@Steffie -- See, purple! I love your code. Thanks again.
-
@the_solutor - likewise!
Wowweee!
