PPA UBUNTU e latest snapshot

Sorry, but "Vivaldi browser for Linux" is a english forum.
Please ask in italian language at https://vivaldi.net/en-US/forum/italian

Translation of your post: "I installed vivaldi stable and then I realized that there was a snapshot version that I think is better but that has frequent updates. And 'possible to have a PPA in this Release? It exists or you must re-download the latest version and delete the old and reconfigure it all over again from scratch?"

Install the Snapshot or Stable once and it will add a Repo to your sources.list.d.
    You dont need a PPA.

    Just do this:

    sudo -i
    wget -c https://downloads.vivaldi.com/stable/vivaldi-stable_1.4.589.38-1_amd64.deb
    dpkg -i vivaldi-stable_1.4.589.38-1_amd64.deb
    apt-get clean
    apt-get update
    apt-get install vivaldi-snapshot

@Gwen-Dragon Your dpkg -i line will fail if all the dependencies are not already present. Here is a more reliable way:

sudo add-apt-repository 'deb http://repo.vivaldi.com/archive/deb/ stable main'
    wget -qO- http://repo.vivaldi.com/archive/linux_signing_key.pub | sudo apt-key add -
    sudo apt update
    sudo apt install vivaldi-snapshot

P.S. You also forgot to tell the user to exist their root shell. 😉

Better yet, just download the latest Vivaldi snapshot .deb from our blog and install it. Then the setup of the repository will be done for you. No need to ever use the command line if you don't want to.
