Minimize tab on click?

  • OK, I figured out what the problem is: if I minimize a tab, then close the next tab, it'll switch me back to the minimized tab, instead of whichever tab was next in stack.

  • Very nice to learn that this feature has finally been implemented! It was my main reason for not using Vivaldi. I'm downloading it now, let's see the progress it has made.

  • I was trying to find it in settings how to switch it on, but I only see option of "pin the tab". Can you write me where to switch it on?
    Thanks

In Settings, Tab, Tab Features, Tab Cycling, Click Active Tab to Switch to Previous Tab.

  • Yeah it doesn't really work as I want:

    1. open a page
    2. from that page, open some links in background
    3. click the tab of the first page
    4. page is "minimised" as expected (yay!) - i.e. you now see the page of the first link
    5. now close that first linked page…
    6. I'm back at the original page - not the second opened link!

In other words, in my normal use it works only for a fraction of the time I want. This may be due to the setting [close tab]->[activate in recently used order] - but I need that setting to get "expected" Opera-Presto behaviour in other circumstances.

See Settings, Tabs, Close Tab Activation Order.

    Err…

That's what I said. I need to have that option activated - so I already have it activated.
