Programs unable to open Vivaldi
-
Hello, I've noticed, specifically on Windows, that programs are not able to open Vivaldi. Specifically, Dropbox, Origin (Battlefield 4, Hardline), Plex, and a few others. When you click certain things it's supposed to open the browser automatically, but instead I have to have Vivaldi open for those links to open up in the browser. Anyone else having this issue?

It's not the programs that specifically call Vivaldi or other browser, a http or https link is just executed and your OS have to be configured to have a default handler for the protocols.
I've tried with Vivaldi closed, and made sure Vivaldi process it's not in memory, to open my dropbox from the dropbox client, and Vivaldi pops up in a couple of seconds regularly. Same with a link from a mail in Thunderbird.
There must be some conflict in your registry but I can't help you there. -

I've double checked all of the protocols and see that Vivaldi is set as the default for all of them. I agree, I think it has something to do with the registry. I'll have to take a look, odd as it's a new install of Windows 10 Pro and besides drivers, Vivaldi was the first installed program.
