Status Info with Status Bar disabled
-
Hi everybody, I've used to use this css modification to show link URLs on hover when the Status Bar is disabled. Originally taken from https://vivaldi.net/en-US/forum/modifications/14431-vivaldi-ui-customisations?start=180#38420 it has been working fine until the theming performance overhaul has been released with 1.5.618.8. I mean it's still working, only the placement changed so it no longer seems to be an element of the content pane's DOM. Current work-in-progress code:

#footer.disabled { display:block !important; position:static !important; padding:0 !important; height:0 !important; width:0 !important; } #footer.disabled > * { display:none !important; } #footer.disabled #status_info { display:block !important; } #footer.disabled #status_info span { position:absolute !important; left:100 !important; bottom:0 !important; margin:0 !important; color:#333 !important; background-color:#FEFEFE !important; padding:2px 5px !important; border:#9E9E9E solid 0 !important; border-width:1px 1px 0 0 !important; max-width:50% !important; overflow: hidden !important; white-space: nowrap !important; text-overflow: ellipsis !important; z-index:50 !important; } #footer.disabled #status_info.visible>span { opacity:1; transition:none; }

Q: Is there any other way to get back the former position where it is on the left/bottom of the content pane and is not overlapping with the side panel (to have it's left position at the red line)? PS: my CSS skills obviously have degraded tremendously. Thanks, someone Attachments:

If I understand you correctly you don't need to do a modification for that. Go to vivaldi://settings/appearance/ and tick "Show Status Info Overlay". Shows link URLs on hover with status bar disabled. Has been an option in settings for quite some time now.

:oops: :oops: :blink:
Well, let's put it that way. Only by your reply I've realized where my Groundhog Day kind of feel has been coming from. Just ten days ago Pesala already told me the same. But then I had to restore an old system backup and totally forget about it.
I blame it on my little boy. :whistle:
