I see the bookmark button .js has changed lots since I last used it, how do I move it to the other side of the address bar now?
Thanks,
Sean -

Hi
I've recently updated to 1.7 stable and reinstalled latest (today snapshot) hooks. Unfortunately after install Vivaldi hangs on startup. It creates processes but no window appears. After removing jdhooks.js Vivaldi starts normally.Are hooks compatible with latest release version of Vivaldi?
-
@luetage One has to admire the dedication of users creating these workarounds. I have a whole ship-load of custom buttons for Opera to do various tasks, such as splitting a tab.
Be patient. Duct tape is very useful, but it's not a permanent fix for a plumbing problem.

@dlarus
It does. It work here, 1.7.735.46 snapshot which still same code with stable.Where you get latest VivaldiHooks? The one most up to date is in the github https://github.com/justdanpo/VivaldiHooks
Thanks for info. Yeah, I always download from github. But I might screw something I reinstalled again and now Vivaldi is alive Case closed.

oh big thanks for that simple key!
I'm searching for something like that for month. Stupid that this panel switch isn't listed in the options.
Ctrl-F1, all set keys are there, you can even filter "panel" and see all keys for panels
And yeah you can't enter the Bookmarks, Notes and Downloads, if you don't use a mod to move it
Alt-F7, select next panel, and each panel have a direct hotkey

"move-window-buttons-maximized.js + move-V-button-to-addressbar.js" causes build 1.8.770.9 to not launch a window. The process starts, the extensions all load their processes, but the Vivaldi window never actually opens, JFYI.

Strange, I've tried activating both, restarted Vivaldi and works for me. Do you have the latest VivaldiHooks version from github?
-
I also can't get V to show itself after upgrading to 1.7 stable. I downloaded the current hooks from github and ran thru the normal install procedure that has always worked in the past but after starting V, saving vendor-bundle.js, closing V & restarting it starts many processes but never shows itself.

@laffin_boy Linux?
Have you checked access permissions of new/updated files? -
@den_po
Sorry, this is on Win 7-64 machine and i'm admin (w/ UAC turned off).Just compared the files in the "vivaldi" & "hooks" folders to the files in the "VivaldiHooks-master.zip" and they're the same...

@den_po
Speeddial geometry.js - box size and max column values (spacing is ok) - only works to me if is set manually from the settings, probably due some other .css I have which overwrite the settings..... maybe if it sets as !important (or some other code magic I don't know) will work in any case. Having opacity in a future version will be cool (so I fully disable .css for that) -

mmh..strange...I disabled all scripts, but the box size and max columns are still non injected on stable, while on snapshot, speedial geometry works well and on boot without disabling any script °_°
edit
I took the version of .js from dev hook folder and even if they are the same version file there is a 1kb of difference.
Strange, as I updated all built-in scripts.
I'll try with other scripts on to see what happensedit2
Ok, it works Dropped margin of my .css for speedial opacity (which mess with .js) and all works normally.
Forgive me for all the edits :3 -
@JevonChu works for me, but you have to update VivaldiHooks as it was already prepared recently for the new changes in 1.8
-
you have to tell @den_po not me, I'm just a user like you, but I'll have a look at them
-
@dLeon they're not bugfixes, but additional scripts for VivaldiHooks. I have 18 additional css myself not included officially in VivaldiHooks
-
Just reporting, after updating Vivaldi to 1.8.770.54, I copied the new VivaldiHooks from GitHub and it doesn't require to patch vendor-bundle.js anymore, so it's already working at first restart.
-
@den_po I'm use multiline-tabs.css with some changes for reducing tabs size. Tell me please how I can remove space between tabspanel and addressbar.

Can corresponding web icons be added to the search engines in the context menu through VivaldiHooks?
