No video in specific page

• Vivaldi Translator

All browsers (Opera, Mozilla Firefox, Chrome, Edge, IE) are showing and playing the video on this page normally, but Vivaldi does not show the video at all. I've tried with latest stable and developer versions. What is the problem?

• Hmm, no video in Vivaldi 1.5.609.8 (Developer Build) (64-bit) or Vivaldi 1.4.589.29 (Stable channel) (32-bit) - Windows 10 Pro (64)

Bug reported VB-21705 "Missing video at faroeseonline.com"

• Moderator

The webpage does not send a valid MIME-Type for the MP4 videos and forbids sniffing of the MIME-type.
So Vivaldi can not display the video.
Bad webserver misconfig!

Please contact the webmaster or the course teacher at faroeseonline.com to fix this!

• Hi, dunno if this OS specific but all videos working fine on Linux with installed Chrome stable.

Vivaldi 1.5.609.8 (Developer Build) dev (64-bit)

Sorry, I don't know much about webserver configurations to discuss that with you I only know that ALL browsers display the video except Vivaldi. So how they display that, if something wrong with server config? I mean I don't know what should I tell site's webmaster to prove that something wrong.

Their server is misconfigured, trust me i am a Admin for webservers.

@RammsteinAM:

I mean I don't know what should I tell site's webmaster to prove that something wrong.

tell them this:

–----------------------
1. Site does not show up video on Windows with current Vivaldi version
Give them the link to Vivaldi Snapshot and Stable so they can check with the browser.
2. NGinx server does not send a MIME-Type for the video file
3. NGinx forbids MIME-Type sniffing by HTTP header

On my Debian 8 x64 only 1.4 works fine. 1.5.x fails.
I am using libffmpeg from http://repo.herecura.eu/pool/vivaldi-snapshot-ffmpeg-codecs-53.0.2785.90-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz

I updated the bugtracker for Linux.
