Clear a cache

How to clear a cache in Vivaldi?
-
Well, as long as no other solution is available, just go to the folder »vivaldi/profile/default/cache« and delete the files.
-
In case anyone else finds this thread like I did, here's the better solution.
Go to History > Clear Browsing Data -
@nphyn1t3 There's an option in Settings, Privacy to set the limits to remember browsing history. Is that any help?
-
clear private data is available as a key shortcut, ctrl-shift-del here, if that's not enough, add to your vivaldi link
–disk-cache-size=10
I once forgot this in my desktop shortcut and noticed the cache was pratically never used anymore. -
@GinoPerla said in Clear a cache:
vivaldi://chrome/settings/clearBrowserData
Chrome is not in the url also has there been an update it does not say anything about browsing history.
-
@CubeMedia it's an old link which used to work in 2015.
And an old unfixed minor bug, "chrome:// vivaldi:// inconsistency".The current one is:
chrome://settings/clearBrowserData
- but is better to handle with the function in tools menu, as it should work correctly. -
@vladdsp
As of Vivaldi v3.5.2115.81 there are two ways the cache can be cleaned:From the "V" menu:
V > Tools > Delete Browsing Data...From via the keyboard:
Ctrl + Shift + DeleteThen simply choose what items you want to remove.
-
@Mehtuus This can also be accomplished from the quick commands menu (F2) by typing a fragment of named action, "Delete browsing data," for which I've had most success with "dele" resulting in that being auto-selected.
