Speeddial thumbnails: give it more time to load when creating them?

• Hello there. I'v been having some annoying issue and I was wondering if anybody knows how I can solve it. It looks like V is not waiting for a full page load when it's creating the thumbnails for the speeddial. I guess this is due to some asynchronous loading with JavaScript and that sort of sorcery... but If the page takes a little time, then I get this: And then I have to read the title to know which page is which. 😉 So I was wandering if there's a way to tell V to wait a little longer... I know you can modify the thumbnails with some trickery but since I delete the Top Sites file quite often (fix for high HDD usage issue) it would be a pain to have to recreate them by hand each time. I think it would be a good idea to copy old Opera on this: it took the picture directly from the page if it was already loaded on a tab. So you would navigate to it, let it load, and then refresh the speeddial et volià.

• I 1000% agree. I had posted about this as well and got no responses: https://vivaldi.net/en-US/forum/all/9145-speed-dial-thumbnail-improvements

This is a huge flaw in vivaldi's speed dial implementation IMO, I won't be moving away from opera until this changes

• You don't have to recreate thumbnails everytime you delete top sites, just make a zipped backup of it once you rebuilt it, and just replace it when it is about 30mb. Mine is just 2mb with all thumbs (some personalized)
With this mod it's super easy to use your own pics for SD thumbnails
