Remove / deactivate / deinstall extension
-
How can I uninstall/delete extensions? Neither TOOLS - EXTENSIONS nor CTRL - E show the extensions. (Also: most every click results in screen filling ads, but only with Vivaldi, not with Opera, Firefox, Chrome) I suspect "Video Download Helper" and want to remove i MALWAREBYTES, AdwCleaner 6.020, ESET-Online-Scanner. did not detect anything. I would do a complete re-install of Vivaldi, but apparently there is no way to transfer all my passwords to a new install. Windows 7, 64bit, all Updates. Any idea anyone?

First, you probably don't have to reinstall. As long as it's on the same machine, Login Data will transfer. Just close Vivaldi, back up your Default folder (rename it) and re-start Vivaldi again. As you install extensions, if they're acting right, then go ahead and transfer bookmarks, Login Data, etc. from your backed up folder to the new one (with Vivaldi closed, of course.)

Thank you!
It worked:
– saved a copy of ..\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Vivaldi\User Data to be sure
-- deinstalled Vivaldi with revo Uninstaller Pro, leaving login-folder. Thus I did not have to transfer/copy passwords, bookmarks, speeddial. -
