  • If I understand correctly you try to add a tab by dragging it to another Vivaldi window?
This is not possible, you can use right mouse click > Move tab to new window.
Vivaldi team is working on it.

dragging it to another Vivaldi TAB

  • @uh76:

how to open a new tab by simply dragging the selection?

Assuming you mean dragging a link to open in a tab then as long as you drag it onto an existing tab, the link is opened in that tab.

If you want the link to open a new tab, then use:

    • Shift-Click (foreground tab)
    • Ctrl-Click (background tab)
    • Mouse Gestures
    • Right Click context menu

    Otherwise, as asked before

    • what are you dragging?
    • where are you dragging it to?

  • It works for me:

    [ol]

    • I can drag a URL from the Site Info Icon and drop it onto another tab or onto the New Tab button
    • I can drag a link from the page and do the same
      [/ol]

Using the latest 32-bit Snapshot on Windows 10, 64-bit, but it worked on earlier versions too.

Open one website, open other on new tab. Mark the two tabs, tile them in browser.
Drag marked text into a textarea field
