Why is the "Bing" nickname search in there? Same happens if I type "e" (without quotes), the omnibox offers Ecosia search in similar way. Hardcoded search engines in vivaldi? (notice that I have only Startpage & Google search engines)

Reading here since a long time, today I have registered to contribute to the mail label issue that I'm also suffering of. I'm running the Vivaldi snapshots on Arch Linux.
The first time I noticed the issue, I helped myself by reconstructing the label definitions within the Preferences file within my profile. Simply by copying and pasting (overwriting) the '[.....]' list of the "label_items" definition from a backup I have. Of course, doing this while Vivaldi is not running.
Then restarting Vivaldi, I have all my labels again. I have found that as soon as I open a private/incognito window, the labels get reset to the 5 default ones. These 5 then also end up again in the Preferences file.
With the 5 default labels defined, the previous fix with 3621.47 indeed helped to suddenly get all my labels again. But, not in the order as I had defined, the 5 default ones were at the top. Unfortunately, again when opening a private/incognito window, the labels get reset again.
The mail functionality only works within a main (non-private) window. I wonder what the private window functionality is mixing up here. BTW, when starting Vivaldi directly with a private window (with the --incognito command line option), it still is retrieving mails from my provider (I'm using POP3). I would prefer if it wouldn't be doing that.

Still no progress with the mail labels. Vanished from everywhere (panel + context menu) except from settings.

Bing search gives empty screen!
Write "hello" in the Address Box and press the return key. The Address Box shows
https://www.bing.com/search?&q=hello
but the webpage area is pure white. There is no sign that the Address Box is waiting for server response.
The network itself is working. You type
https://www.bing.com
which takes you to the Bing server. There you write "hello" in the search box and get the results of the search.
The empty bing result happens on multiple Profiles and even on the Guest Profile.
Vivaldi 7.2.3621.48 (Official Build) (arm64)

@ryofurue: Is this the default search url?
If you use
https://www.bing.com/search?q=hello
Then it works fine. But if the default doesn't, then it should probably be looked into

Was trying to reproduce that, but didn't seem to have any affect for me.
- What operating system are you running on?
- Do you close all the windows before opening the private window that causes this? Or how do you do this?
- What command line options are you running with? Only --incognito?

@nutcracker
Fix wasn't pushed for this one since I was a bit busy yesterday. I'll try and push it for the next snapshot. -
@kocho: What are they feeding you?

It was the default search.
But the problem cured itself! After the several tests (which included relaunching Vivaldi), I put my computer to sleep without quitting Vivaldi. I've come back and found the default search, which is bing, now works!

@gmg Thanks for looking into this. As written, I'm on Arch Linux (x86_64).
The effect I see can be reproduced in two ways for me. Having the Preferences file with the correct mail labels present as starting point:
- I invoke a normal (non-private) window to view my mails (with: vivaldi-snapshot --profile-directory="Default"). All labels are available. Then I use the menu "File -> New Private Window" to open such window. In the original normal window the labels then get reset to the 5 default ones, and after closing all windows this is also reflected in the Preferences file.
- I invoke a private window directly (with: vivaldi-snapshot --incognito --profile-directory="Default"). After closing that window, the labels are reset to the 5 default ones in the Preferences file. Of course, then any next time when starting a normal window I only see the 5 default labels. I haven't tried, but likely using the menu "File -> New Window" from the private window would result in the same problem of only finding the 5 default labels there.
Note that using the --profile-directory="Default" option may not be needed, but I'm using it to differentiate the invocation from another with a different profile.
Hope you'll find what's going on here and eventually manage to fix things. Thanks!

@campacasa: I figured it out thanks to this comment. I can reproduce with opening a private window. Thank you so much for this. I'll push a fix
