          ⚠️ All rules to get access is communcated and described in "Vivaldi Webmail access is now linked to a reputation system."

          This means that new users will not be able to use Vivaldi Webmail immediately after creating the account. They’ll have to participate in Forum discussions, interact with others on Vivaldi Social, share their browser themes, post on their blog and/or sync their browser data to collect “points”.

            @syklist, <snipped>
            Anyway it is nice, eg in a new PC to install Vivaldi, entering in your sync account and having back your custom Vivaldi with all settings, bookmarks, passwords, even extensions and all other data in few seconds.

            I have different devices used for different purposes. I don't have nor want the same bookmarks on all devices. While I can see the point in having my user interface settings restored (the same over all instances of Vivaldi that I use) I can't see the point of restoring the bookmarks from one device to another which does not need those bookmarks.

            Does Vivaldi Sync allow you to save different sets of bookmarks that can be restored to different instances of Vivaldi?

              That is not entirely clear. My best reading of that sentence is that all of the previous things have to be done together OR just sync the browser?

              But it is drafted in such a way that I am not certain of that interpretation of the sentence.

              Who do I have to contact to get this specific point clarified definitively?

                No, if you want to save and sync different bookmark sets, you need separate Sync accounts for each set.

                  So can you configure Sync to not sync your bookmarks or not restore them?

                    @syklist In Sync settings, you can disable Sync of bookmarks.
                    Use Sync Selected Data:
