Block - Constant Google Precision Location Popup?
-
I am getting constant popups for Google's Precision Location.
Is there a way to disable this? I have Location turned off in my android settings. I also disabled Location in the browser site settings.
Thanks

@ViIT Try Settings > Apps > Vivaldi >Permissions > Location > Don't Allow

Hi @yeswap I did that before, no good.

Is this something we're just going to have to wait for Google to change?
Thanks

Are you using the Google search engine when that pops up? Or is it popping up everywhere you go?

Hi @Ayrdanger
My bad for not mentioning before, this is on google.com when first doing a search.
I wasn't aware this happens anywhere else.
Thanks

@ViIT I don't believe this does happen anywhere else. I was mainly asking as a precaution. That said, yes, I believe this is just a Google thing that probably won't be going away anytime soon.
If I may suggest: Try out different search engines. Vivaldi even allows us to choose a few different default search engines!
Settings > Search engine > Standard Tab/Private Tab > pick and choose! -
@ViIT
You using goofle search? I don't and never get that popup.Just a thought.

Yes Google...
What's odd, I see that certain words don't seem to trigger it. But everytime I put in the word 'news' I get the popup.
Try only putting in the word news.
Of course make sure browser history/cookies are cleared.
