Solved Is vivaldi Webmail "self-standing"?
-
@far4 Do you know any solution to that? A similar method, I mean.
-
@ThePfromtheO Right now, I observed that it detects when I copied a link and says "link you copied" instead of "text you copied".
I'd like Vivaldi to have this feature... -
@ThePfromtheO
How is this different from Vivaldi's “Paste and search”? In the mechanism of how the function works - isn't that the same thing?Vivaldi does not distinguish between links and plain text in clipboard - that's true. But I think it's a small thing.
-
@far4 But I don't have it!
What is the difference?! -
@ThePfromtheO
wow! That's something to think about! -
@far4 What do you mean, I really want to activate it!
-
@far4 Do you know how could I resolve this Problem?

Yes, that is not a problem. It should also work no matter of that.
-
@far4 Do you use the Snapshot app?
-
@ThePfromtheO
It seems to be working. Try:chrome://flags/#omnibox-shortcuts-android
and switch to 'enable'. And restart Vivaldi with the button at the bottom. In the new tab, you should now observe a picture like this.
@far4 Do you use the Snapshot app?
I'm using both of them.
Now you should have both rows of buttons visible. Anything like that?
-
@far4 Yes, I have this
But it doesnt appear in the new tab page. -
@ThePfromtheO
If you pre-copy something, the new tab doesn't have that “Paste and search” service line either? -
@far4 It is quite strange: it appears only after collapsing and opening the keyboard again
-
@far4 If I toggle the "Focus Adress Tab on New Tab" option off in settings, then that message appears. But I don't like I have to tap on the address bar to do that.
-
@ThePfromtheO
Try rebooting the smartphone - maybe that will help.
No.
This seems to be a peculiarity of the browser's operation. I don't know how to help here. On the contrary, I like it when the focus is off.Maybe this could be called a bug, maybe no - we'll have to ask the moderators.
-
@ThePfromtheO @far4 And I liked that settings since it was like on the PC: I didn't need to tap on the search bar to be able to search.

Why?
-
@ThePfromtheO Maybyou like to be able to use the speed dials? Which would be harder with the keyboard popping on the screen.
-
@ThePfromtheO
I use speeddial shortcuts a lot. -
@far4 And do you know if there is a possibility to keep that setting on while being able to use that flag too without having to collapse the keyboard and open it again?
