Copy URL Adds $0 To End
-
I have seen this issue for a little while but just got used to it.
When I copy a URL from the URL bar, and paste it anywhere, it adds
$0
to the end.Granted now that I am trying to recreate this issue now it is fine. It’s not all links, most do have it though. Not sure what the parameters for this happening are.

@OrbitalMartian This issues seems to (from my testing) only affect pasting into Codeberg’s editor. I haven’t seen it elsewhere.
It might be any text input field on a page. (I’ve not tested it yet though).
-
@OrbitalMartian I can’t reproduce your issue with the provided reproduction steps. I used the “copy page address” command on this page, logged in to Codeberg and edited a file—pasted the address and
$0
is not being added to the address.edit: oh, this is an iOS problem, never mind
-
@luetage Yeah, I also use it on both Windows and Linux and haven’t seen the issue seems only iOS.
-
This seems to be a Codeberg issue as
$0
is also included when pasting a link to the Codeberg editor in Chrome, Safari and Firefox. -
@jane-n Amazing, thank you. I’ll open an issue with them. I didn’t think to check other browsers (Vivaldi is what I use on all devices). Glad it’s not a Vivaldi issue.

@OrbitalMartian Just to keep this thread updated, I have raised an issue in Forgejo’s repo - I also tested on the Forgejo Dev instance so it’s not a Vivaldi issue.
