Passwords are not synchronized. The video shows that there is a problem with password synchronization - time is not updated (as when synchronizing another)

Hi, work for me, please check to open vivaldi://sync-internals.
Passwords should be green and running, if it is grey something is wrong in your profile.
I had the same problem, the only solution is to reinstall Vivaldi.

      Cheers, mib

I've already reinstalled Vivaldi. I deleted and installed the program again, logged into and out of my account. In the evening I will try to do as you say

@mib2berlin My Android install (on Chromebook) is also having this issue - new passwords that are created on the desktop browser, are not appearing on the Andrioid one.

The sync-internals page does not seem to work on Android, it says "Page load failed because the developer UI module, (dev_ui) is not installed"

I would prefer not to uninstall re-install, as I tend to have several-hundred tabs open, and I don't see a way to "save session" on Vivaldi Mobile.

      any ideas?

Oops, will do, I do update it regularly:

      Vivaldi 7.4.3619.62
      Android 13; trogdor Build/R136-16238.64.0

This has been an issue for a while, I just kept forgetting to check the forums and see if I should report it..

No, there are no sessions on Android.
If your Android tabs are synced to the desktop open them there, maybe in a new workspace.
Depends on how many tabs we talk about this can eat all your RAM on the desktop.
Then select all tabs and save it as bookmarks, you get a folder with the actual data and bookmarks are synced.
How many tabs do you have?

Exactly what it says. For a bit now, my Android Vivaldi install has refused to synchronize passwords to the cloud, even though it's configured to. I have reinitialized sync and the issue persists.

What do I need to do to just make it work? Reinstalling/clearing data is unacceptable, unless there is a way to restore tabs to the new install.

What you can try is to install the snapshot and use the same device name as you have.
I tested this with a dual app of Vivaldi, this is a clone of the default install and all tabs and stacks are synced.
I didn't believe it would work, but it does.

      EDIT:
By the way, 300 tabs take more than my 16 GB and the system starts swapping. Vivaldi take 15 minutes to start.
At the first open tab use the context menu and choose Hibernate Background tabs to stop loading.

Hi, your user profile is broken, no way to repair it.
There are some workarounds, check one of the already posted threads about.

?????? That is unacceptable. Are the developers working to fix this? The passwords are the only part of the account functionality I actually care about, this is a core feature that cannot be broken "just cause".

True! This is why there are people paid to fix it.

Don't condescend to me. I wouldn't have a Vivaldi account were it not for password synchronization. This is the most important in-browser use-case of the entire account subsystem (email notwithstanding), fixing it should be a top priority. Look up "triage".

Just read back how you maybe can handle this.
That wasn't meant to be condescending.

@mib2berlin Bud, I get that there's buggy software. I have written a lot of it, actually! But software doesn't grow on the software tree -- people have to make it, and those people can fix it. Do you take issue with my expecting a software company to fix software?

If you have any details on Vivaldi Technologies's efforts to do their job, do let me know. If you don't, shut up and stop wasting my time.
