Make Default Home Page

  • Please add a radio button to select default home page in options menu for the current page parked on in browser. "Make current page default home page" so that we don't have to type it in.

  • Doesn't seem to make any difference to what I put in the settings box for the home page. It always defaults to Vivaldi

  • I noticed this at first too because I like to set my browsers home page currently to Google (I know I know evil  ) however it too always reverted back to Vivaldi's site. Then I noticed if I put http:// (or https:// for a secure site if you know it has the functionality) before and not just www.google.com or google.com it changed it. Try that with whatever site you're trying to set as your home page, it worked for me.

  • From the beginning, I've used a local, custom html file for my homepage (shared by all browsers on the system), and Vivaldi has retained that homepage setting quite well ever since:
    file:///C:/Program%20Files%20%28x86%29/Page1/Hpage053.htm

So, there may be some instability or variability in how Vivaldi deals with the presence/absence of a preamble for the homepage entry.

  • Or opens the last open pages before closing.

I do this too. I would like an option to choose what gets loaded when you open a new tab/window - your homepage, Speed Dial, nothing. Autohotkey can turn ^N into ^N^{space} but a browser setting would be better.
