Video crashed midway on Tumblr

  • I'm experiencing a new issue on Vivaldi that wasn't there a couple months ago. Sometimes while I play a video, it'll crash the video, showing a dead bird on gray or something close to it. This doesn't occur in Chrome or Firefox.

  • Yes.Dead birds happen.

    But we dont know which Windows you have, which Vivaldi and on which tumblr URL this happens.We cant help without such information.
    Please tell us.

  • Windows 7 x64

    1.2.490.43 () (32-bit)

    And I'd post the Tumblrs this occurs on but seeing as they're porn Tumblr's, I'd rather not get banned.

  • Tumblr has always been a trouble for me, so I don't use it. I prefer xhamster or xvideos - these two have never caused any problems for any of the browsers I have ever used, Vivaldi included.

  • And it's not a dead bird. I thought it was. It's like an outline of a video camera, the old fashioned kind, and then these two bulging eyes atop it and they have these X's on them.

    Trying to play the video and looking at inspector I get these errors. It was working fine a month or more ago. I went ahead and disabled my adblocking, temporarily disabled my AV and still got these errors, even when clearing history/cookies/cache, as well as testing out a new profile. It's so bizarre. I even did a deep scan on each drive using Malware bytes pro. Nada.

    Failed to load resource: net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT

    VIDEOJS: WARN: The Hls component was added to the videojs object when it should be registered using videojs.registerComponent(name, component)

    The only addon I have enabled now is tampermonkey and there's no script active on the tumblr domain.

  • Looks like a problem with the javascripts on the website itself.

  • OK. I and may be others dont want to see such p*rn now. ;)

    But you can report this crash as a bug to https://vivaldi.com/bugreport/
    We will check it internally.
