@tinsmith The resizing the width of the tab bar is independent per window now at least (visibility and position is not.) tested on Windows 10 with Vivaldi.4.0.2312.38.x64 (Stable) and Vivaldi.4.1.2355.3.x64 (Snapshot)
@konelinx Do you know that you can resize the Tab Bar when it's placed on the side, so that it takes up less space, or just the width of an icon? Then tooltips will show the Title text.

@pesala said in Keep "+" Visible when Using Vertical Tabs:
Placing the bin next to the plus button solves one problem but creates another — the plus button scrolls out of view when the tab bar is full.
I don't see the problem. If the tab bar is not yet full, then then bin and plus are at the end of the tab list. If the tab bar is full, then they both stick at the end of the (visible) list (as the bin does currently always do). No additional bars or configurations would be required; they are simply both visible and accessible all the time.
With a portrait primary monitor and a landscape secondary monitor, it makes no sense to have a vertical tab bar on the portrait monitor where horizontal space is at a premium.
However, on a landscape monitor, horizontal space is often wasted on many web pages that are not designed to make use of it.
@terdale Interesting to know! Just for info, if you have already reported the issue: I think that you can add some more details (like this one) by simply replying to the bug tracker confirmation mail that you must have received.
@dude99 Good list!
I wrastle with picking out the active tab! (Though it's my own fault: I use a custom theme for tabs background...aesthetics over functionality, silly as it seems, works -almost- for me.) Suggestions here are often worth consideration...
I have one: Flashing tab, like the strobe of a Mac mini's power light when the machine's gone into deep sleep.
Couple that with tab bar auto hide/show like Mac's dock, and you'd have what I want!)
_______________ (forgive please my odd punct.: UseNet days, emoticons and punct. show -personal!- logic:)_______________
Smileys only distract me... It's a personal thing-ie, I'd have Smileys be escaped chars. àla UNIX text, so mix-n-match is easy.
@Steffie said in Vertical Tabs - Show Grouped Tabs as in Window Panel:
there should be some visual indicator for pinned vertical tabs
Thanks for the info. I've already know that in the Window panel, but I think a similar feature should be implemented in the vertical tab bar. For me, I don't use the Window panel because I can't use other panels at the same time.
