Otherwise, the company might die with him, but its properties (including rights to Vivaldi) might be sold by the estate to a new owner, which could continue Vivaldi but would not in any way be related to the old company. Tomita Tatsuki, whom I have met, seems to be totally on board with Jon's philosophy. He's an officer or board member of the company, and co-founder with Jon. There could be other corporate officers. But in the end, who knows what the future holds? We're all just directing our lives by our best guesses.

This happened to me as well when trying to add Google Calendar for the first time. Unfortunately I couldn't find any solution once it got into this state where the Google calendar was added, but no events were showing up, other than wiping the Calendar data. You can delete or rename the files "Calendar" and "Calendar-journal" in your Vivaldi user data directory (for Windows, C:\Users<username>\AppData\Local\Vivaldi\User Data\Default) and restart Vivaldi. This will effectively wipe all the Calendar data and treat it like you have started Calendar from scratch. Obviously, take care when doing this. Then you can retry adding your Google calendar. I have found, based on the two times I've done this so far, that it may be more reliable if you add an event to the calendar (using the "Local" account) first before you add a Google Calendar. @theproman It is "cloud" sync in that, like 99.99% of all sync operations on the web, the data is hosted (encrypted) on a remote server. There is no peer-to-peer sync in Vivaldi. In fact there is barely any such thing as peer-to-peer sync of web applications anywhere in the world at all.

@kgw So unless there is something broken in your install, it should simply work. Have you checked your settings in Settings/Search? You can set there whether to search in addressfield, Is that turned off?

RSS отличная технология. С недавнего времени Ютуб перестал присылать уведомления о новых видео на электропочту. Настроил получение уведомлений от каналов в RSS. И теперь красота. Уведомления приходят и просмотреть видео можно прямо в reader'e.

@yqq8 Well, the main question is: How much do you trust your friend and their colleagues? 🙂 If this desktop is open to all, have your friend (or someone moderately skilled with computers) create separate login accounts on the desktop, and let you set your own password. Should be safe enough, depending again how much you trust your friend and their colleagues, who probably have Admin and physical access to the machine anyway. Lastly, the best way is probably to just remember to securely erase the Vivaldi user profile before leaving the machine.
