@tbgbe Of course you're utterly correct, which is why i cunningly threw them off the scent by lying about the barcode. We know it's actually the right ear, but coz i never mentioned that publicly in my post, my solicitor advises me that i'm legally safe. Remember, shhhhhhhhhhh, loose lips sink ships.
Thanks, Pathduck for coming up.
I have never heard the term "security theatre" being used, and I am happy to read about it. In fact, I have bookmarked the term from your link. You hear about people, places and events full of "flash" "hot-air" - a society being reactionary. No one never thought of putting up a rail near a precipice, until someone fell in, until someone gets hurt.
It does not happen in Google Chrome, and I hope Vivaldi takes that message off in later updates.
@stardepp , nor do I, I use my mobile for the same thing I have always used, apart from a photo or a Candy Crush, to call and receive calls. I don't even use WhatsApp or other chat. Ok, using Vivaldi sometimes for consulting this forum.
@darigar , currently Vivaldi has a good trackerblocker, also expandable with corresponding scripts. But apart I use the Trace extension that also protects against fingerprint and others, also the Site Bleacher that eliminates all the data of having visited a page (except those that are whitelisted), such as cache, cookies, serviceworkers and others. That is, the page was never visited.
I suppose the FF store also has these extensions, really recommended to improve privacy even more
@streptococcus Many Vivaldi users are interested in privacy, and many private search engines actually use bing or google, so brave search is an interest development that some Vivaldi forum users may want to try.
Yes, i am sure that it is absolutely desired function - to have an option "None". If there is an option "Day", "Week", "Last month" and "Everything", why not "None"?!
Extension that automatically delete History (every 10s) is a solution, BUT much better will be to have it native.
At these days of permanently attacked cyber security it is sort of important option.
Ok, i will create feature request.
This annoying feature is just the thing you already have in the start menu tiles but copied to the taskbar.
Not sure what relevance it is to this section of the forum though.
unless you have already killed the component in your menu, it hasn't changed any privacy.
